Who were the most injury prone players of the Coughlin era

CMicks3110 : 8/6/2017 12:08 pm
doesnt' necessarily mean missed games, but someone who was always reporting being less than 100%. Looking at 2007-2013 as being his core time, and including only high priced free agents, core guys, and top 3 draft picks, here is how we performed injury wise:

Player (How Acquired) (Time on Team) (Full Seasons)
Baas (Free Agent-11)
Bradshaw (7th Round-07) - (2007-2012) - 1 full season
Shockey (1st Round-02) - (2002-2007) - 0 full seasons
Boss (5th Round-07) - (2007-2010) - 0 full seasons
Tuck (3rd Round-05) - (2005-2013) - 5 full seasons
Nicks (1st Round-09) - (2009-2013) - 0 full seasons
Phillips (1st Round-08) (2008-2012) - 1 Full Season
Wilson (1st Round-12) (2012-2013) - 0 Full Seasons *CAREER X INJURY
Chad Jones (3rd Round-10) - 0 Full Seasons *CAREER X INJURY
Austin (2nd Round-11) - (2011-2012) - 0 Full Seasons *BUST
Ross (1st Round-07) (2007-2013) - 1 Full Season
Manningham (3rd Round-08 (2008-2011) - 1 Full Season
S. Smith (2nd Round-07) (2009-2012) - 2 Full Seasons
Will Beatty (2nd Round-09) (2009-2016) - 4 full seasons
Ramses Barden (3rd Round-09) (2009-2012) - 0 full seasons
Chris Canty - (Free Agent-09) (2009-2012)- 2 full seasons
Osi Umenyiora (2nd Round-03) (2003-2012) - 6 full seasons
Michael Boley (Free Agent-09) (2009-2012) - 2 full seasons
Terrell Thomas (2nd Round-08) - (2008-2013) - 3 full seasons
Victor Cruz (UND-10) - 2 full seasons .
Prince Amukamara (11-15) 1 full season .
David Baas (11-13) - 1 full season
Jon Beason (13-14) 0 full Seasons
Geoff Scwhartz (14-15) - 0 full seasons

THAT IS A LOT OF PLAYERS that were supposed to make a sustained impact that did not at all. Eli, Diehl, McKenzie, Seubert, Snee, Strahan, Robbins, Webster were really the core that stayed healthy in the mid 2000s and drove us. The amount of injuries to key players was highly highly abnormal.

Looking at this current roster, while much, much younger, it's promising how much less injury prone they seem to be, even the players that aren't performing great.

Flowers, Richburg, Jerry along the o-line have been healthy
shepard, odell, Marshall have been healthy throughout there careersr
harrison, vernon, jenkins have missed 5 games in their career combined
collins does not look like an injury prone player

JPP has had his injuries, and DRC while not missing a lot of games is always nicked up, Pugh has also been nicked up at times throughout his career.

But it seems that the front office is trying to really make an effort to bring in durable players because the injury bug killed us for a long long time.

Everyone but Eli

Sorry for the duplicate response. Too bad niether one of us spelled his name right. Maybe if he actually played a game or two for us he would have made a stronger impression.
