Damn he was loved by Phillies fans. I remember in July of 97 they announced he was traded to the Marlins at the game I went to. That was before social media and everyone knew everything right away. Holy shit, that was not a positive reaction. From the�.2,000 people that were in attendance.

well after his retirement, and a lot of it was about how absolutely nuts Daulton was, as a player and after.

Makes me wonder if there was ever a connection to the illness. If it may have manifested in such a way that affected him earlier, just not as cancer?

I have no idea what I'm talking about, clearly lol. Just seemed like a whacky character.

Sometime back in the 80's. Seemed like a nice guy but his wife at the time was the Hooter's poster girl. She was smokin'! RIP Darren,died way too young.
