youngsters improve. DT Jay Bromley is in a contract season; he has a chance to start; he has played some and knows this defense and its scheme. If he is an IMPROVEMENT over HANKINS who really was NOT very good last year on a very good defense well we BENEFIT immensely. Especially if DT Robert Thomas is only a quarter-step behind him because he is a big body (Snacks back-up perhaps?); knows the defense as he was here last year; and, is also a young guy growing.
Bottom Line: if DT Bromley, DT Thomas, DT Tomlinson, LB Goodson, FS D. Thompson, CB M. Hunter, CB M. Thompson, FS Adams, CB Apple, etc., all step up BIG this year, take that YOUTHFUL leap we will not only be a deep defense but we can be one with virtually no MAJOR holes to attack. You can't run, you can't go deep, you can't throw short consistently either.
Best overall defense in the NFL if we stay healthy.
Good article...seems to support much of what Sy'56 has been saying, particularly about Apple and Hunter.
that Jay Bromley is not Jay Alford.
it's already 1 of the best DL in football.
A solid rotation opposite Snacks - and look out NFL
Consistent in saying if he gets his hands on a defender it's over. His mobility will be one thing I will definitely watch in the preseason games.
Has a big season at DT, can you imagine just how good this defensive line can be.
...with Tomlinson cutting his teeth it's no surprise to me he's in the mix to start. That said all those guys will get significant snaps and that includes Thomas as well. It's a rotational position.

I dont think this a contradiction -- the problem with Fluker is his lateral movement -- but if he gets his hands on the opposition he is a total bull
