also melo was working out with cj mccollum among others as well, here is to hopeing he can convince melo on portland
I feel good about the hardaway move

Even if it's knicksy and crazy. He's gonna be a good player here.
Just wish they could trade melo for one good young chip.

is supposed to be exclusively negative re: NYK and they've thoroughly earned that, but I think:
-all signs point to this being a bunch of positives re: front office hires
-THJ adds to a list of promising young players
-Sessions is guy I've always liked (defensively sound, can score well, will make the right play unlike Rose)
-if reports out of Milwaukee are true, Beasley on a one year MIN deal is a steal and a possible trade chip come February is the NYK are something like & gt; 5 games out of the 8 seed

Zach Randolph was arrested on Wednesday for drug possession and intent to sell it according to TMZ.
Z-Bo was one of three people to be arrested and it sparked "a crazy disturbance" that forced the cops to call for backup. He was arrested for possession of marijuana, though the "intent to sell" part was due to the large amount of weed found. The bail for his release was set for $20,000. At the least, a suspension for Z-Bo should be on the horizon, but the Kings and NBA will likely make a statement once more is known.
Lets use some common sense here and assume that Zbo isn't selling off the weed. Regardless, I'm sure his fall guy will take the hit on this one.
Knicks are on xmas day most years...

and KP is going to be a heavily marketed player by the NBA. Wouldnt be surprised to see us on that day with or without Melo. Will prolly get the crappy noon time slot though, haha.
Agree on Plumlee
Deej : 10:17 am : link : reply
I think I said it in the last thread. The guy rebounds well and he is good at executing. E.g. he sets a very good pick. It doesnt show up in his stats, but a really good pick is terribly helpful for the guards.
Id really rather someone with more upside...
Italianju : 10:21 am : link : reply
then Plumlee. I know those guys arent just sitting around, but plumlee isnt good. Even the improved version we saw in summer league still looked avg at best to me. And that was against summer league competition. I mean if they bring him back so be it, but i dont really care one way or another.
I wouldn't
Enzo : 10:30 am : link : reply
mind Plumlee. He seems like he has a chance to be something slightly better than your typical end-of-the-bench stiff. Considering Noah is always missing games, some additional big man depth wouldn't hurt.

Im not big on "upside" guys for the 15th man on the roster. I'd rather a hard worker/locker room guy, especially if he's more ready to play some.
I just think that the "upside" marginal roster players really arent that high upside (or they wouldnt be marginal). They're by in large fools gold. And if they're all upside, you cant use them to bench the 9th man to hold him accountable.
Knicks have asked Melo to "expand his wish list"...
Mike in St. Louis : 10:33 am : link : reply
"According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks have asked Carmelo Anthony to expand his "wish list" of teams to join.
Another day, another Melo rumor. It's no secret that his preference is to join Houston, but the Knicks aren't willing to make a "bad trade" -- the Rockets would likely have to include Ryan Anderson's bloated contract and the Knicks aren't interested. Berman adds that the Pelicans, Cavaliers, Thunder and Blazers are all waiting in the wings in the hope that Melo expands his list. The All-Star forward recently had "great conversations" with Knicks GM Scott Perry, but it sounds like both sides are still determined to orchestrate a move away from New York."
The trade that makes the most sense for everyone involved:
Jon in NYC : 10:38 am : link : reply
POR gets Melo
NYK gets
Zach Collins
Noah Vonleh (expiring)
Ed David (expiring)
Moe Harkless
2019 1st
Melo goes to a winning team. Portland has a chance to compete. Knicks get two young players, cap relief and a pick.
I would do that
Pep22 : 10:42 am : link : reply
even without Zach Collins
but alas...Melo wouldn't okay it doesn't matter
DanMetroMan : 10:45 am : link : reply
Nevertheless, an NBA source told The Post that Anthony has told the Knicks he would not agree to waive his no-trade clause for New Orleans.
Italianju : 10:56 am : link : reply
be a 6 seed or so if Melo fits in and doesnt play melo ball the whole time and nurkic can play a whole season like he did once he got to POR. That said they arent competing with the top 3 in the west

Good video posted (Twitter, Tommy and New Era Knicks).
Somewhat of a half-speed work-out but clearly the targeted skill areas were finishing with the off/left hand at the rim and dominant/right hand tear drops from 10 feet and in.
Valuable tools for him.
The divide between Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers extends to his fellow teammates after he reportedly went multiple days during the playoffs without speaking to them.
During an appearance on The BBall Breakdown Podcast (via Dan Feldman of NBC Sports), ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported former Cavs forward James Jones said he saw Irving "go consecutive days without speaking to a teammate at practice" between the first and second rounds of the NBA playoffs.
No. Capela to me isnt a star (though he has great advanced stats). Im not super hyped about maxing him. But add in Anderson and it's like 45 million for Capela. Yes, Anderson has some value, but Im not a fan of his game and he's not a good fit here.

woukd you take on anderson if houston offered capela?

an amendment to my offer, what if they take on noah? now again i dont know why they would but maybe mills and perry are holding out for capela?

HOU would have to put Ariza and Gordon in the deal just to make salaries work. It's too big of a trade. I'd consider it.
Houston has 0 I want.
