It's just one preseason game and he played against backups - but the reads and the throws were really on point.
The Bears supposedly didn't want to play him this year and use it as a developmental year - but I don't think Glennon and Sanchez will leave them much choice. The fans are going to be clamoring for him as soon as they lose one game.
Trubisky, Watson, Kizer just threw a bomb. Good for them. But, yes, happy to see Cruz playing well and Randle had a near TD. Cruz had a big drop though where he could have had a big gain. It seemed like there was a lot of room in front to run if he just hung onto the pass. Still, quality start so far for him.
To be fair to Glennon, he was going against the Broncos 1st team
He looked very good. Got his head around quick on play action and threw 20 yard darts. Threw a couple guys open read the coverage well. There is no denying his arm talent and physical traits.
defense and they were playing a surprising number of their starters. On the pick, he got hit by 2 guys at the same time.
Just like in a regular season game that would count. So Glennon showed us what to expect this year.
Also, Trubisky looked good, made some good throws and good choices. Granted, we won't know if his choices and throws will be as good against 1st team rushers behind the Chicago line.
Also, Cruz and Randle looked good in the second half against the backups, but those guys needed to be starters on the Giants.
Randle was even good enough to have a nickname of Rube, wow.
I hope Cruz can stick with the Bears, they were playing him on
the outside last night? I figured they would put him in the slot, when they signed him. Maybe they will, first game.

At least he caught the ball? Idk.

Just like last season...

Cruz I'll always be a fan of - incredible story, awful injury. Hope he makes it.
