I'm amazed at the size of offensive and defensive linemen today.
for those who have played or been close to the game, what kind of diet and lifting regimen do these linemen follow to bulk up?
I recently read an article about Russell Wilson's new nutrition program, where he consumes about 4,800 calories daily (no gluten or dairy) and can only imagine how many calories a guy like ereck flowers consumes in a day.
I have a buddy that I used to run with that was the starting OC at U of Montana for all 4 years of college. Said he would sometimes come home, order a large pizza or two and easily take it all down to keep his weight above 300 lbs...after college he went to law school and started running and eating normal and lost 100 lbs and turned himself into a sub-3 hour marathoner.
Massive amounts of calories, massive amounts of lifting.
