Walker is owed roughly $5M the rest of the season and I heard #Mets are eating some to complete deal with #Brewers
Still can't imagine there will be much of a return.
yes, sorry, should have been obvious, but Sandy did turn a 2-month rental of 34-year old Carlos Beltran into a top 10 prospect in all of baseball, so I hoped it was another miracle.
If I looked in NY I'd go to this game, I love minor league baseball and particularly like it when major leaguers play.
I saw a Jon lester rehab start in Pawtucket and that team had Ellsbury still in the minors.
I also so Josh Beckett with the Portland Sea Dogs against the Binghamton Mets (in 2001) in Portland Maine when the Sea Dogs were a marlins farm team. He was electric.
anyway, hope Harvey comes back full strength for 2018.

Anybody hoping the 2013/2015 model is coming back this year after it was announced his arm had atrophied from TOS is going to be sadly mistaken. I do think with an entire offseason he might come back stronger in the spring but trying to measure whatever he's doing now seems pretty fruitless IMO.
I have no faith in Harvey giving us anything next year. My hope is htat he pitches well in September and we trade him for whatever we can get, cause I don't expect anything from him next year. He's just lost it. Even with near premium velocity for a starter (94 mph), he absolutely blew this year. I suppose maybe you could put him in the pen if you want to go that route.

I don't think he's going to reclaim any value this year. We might as well keep him. He's coming up on a walk year. He's going to have incentive to come into spring in the best shape of his life. With no surgeries this offseason maybe he has a shot. I also still think worse case scenario he's a setup man for us next year in the pen. I wouldn't give him away for nothing yet.
Definitely hyperextended. Good thing for Harper is he's not a NY Met. Otherwise, he'd probably have to amputate his leg. Since he's a Nat, probably just a few days off.

Neil Walker is being traded to brewers
I read on twitter the Mets received a signed photo of Dan Plesac. LOL.
holy shit, is that true?
What?
Are you kidding?
Why would they?
They have Castro.
It would take a lot more than Walker to get their top prospect in the minor leagues heh

although whatever they get for Walker at this point is better than nothing.
Hopefully droobs follows him. Maybe even Reyes and Grandy.

Heard it might not be until after #Mets, #Brewers games are completed that the deal will be officially announced.

Bad joke

Doesn't make sense as he is not a reliever with a live arm
Isn't that usually the case if it's a player from this year's draft or have the rules changed?
So tell us who it is. ;) Position player? Pitcher?

To be honest, haven't hear a thing. Not expecting much of anything. Just glad for him to go and be able to play meaningful games.
This would be devastating for them (obviously).
