NFT: Help needed with media players.

Jay in Toronto : 8/14/2017 8:17 am
Currently I stream on my pc (you tube and dedicated websites) hard wired to my TV.

I would love advice on media players that could reproduce the ease of browsing or going to bookmarked sites to stream since that is my main app. I realize I may need to get a compatible keyboard.

Advice (especially based on experience would be greatly appreciatedl.

TIA

can display whatever is in your Google Chrome browser tab on your TV, with some limitations, but generally speaking.

Yes but

Can I call up sites on the website chromecast?
you buy a chromecast

and plug it in to the HDMI slot on your TV.

Then you download the Google Chrome browser and you connect over Wifi and you click a button on the browser calleed "csst" and whatever browser tab you have open will be "casted" to your TV.

There are some limitations about what you can or can't cast from your computer to the TV, not exactly sure what the limitations are, but that's how it works.
Sorry to be dense

but am I manipulating the browser on the tv or chromceast device or on the browser on another device (like chrome on my TV)?
You manipulate

the browser on your device (laptop, mac, phone (iOS or Droid), ipad, etc.) just needs to have google chrome.

Thanks
