NJ.com: 12 totally random observations after 2 weeks

FYI...
12 totally random observations after 2 weeks of Giants training camp - ( New Window )
I think saying Hart could have a better NYG career than Flowers
The_Boss : 8/14/2017 10:00 am : link
Is a little outlandish. I don't think either are very reliable and it wouldn't surprise me to see the NYG make replacing both OT's priority #1 next spring if their play in 2017 prevented the team from being all it could be, which is a SB contender.
Is he kidding me?

"It's not the worst idea to find Tye a spot - the Giants know he can be a productive player, if not a star."

Flowers is playing LT, I would bet if you had Hart and Flowers competing for RT or either OG, Flowers would win that battle.

A star? LOL.
by saying "star"
SHO'NUFF : 8/14/2017 11:36 am : link
he meant the possibility of Dallas signing Tye?

Maybe he meant he's lined up to be on Dancing With the Stars.
Tye a star
Johnny5 : 8/14/2017 11:43 am : link
Pretty sure you guys are misreading that. He is saying the Giants know he can be at least productive even if he will never be a star.

exactly , thank you
That picture with Pugh and Flowers
Diver_Down : 8/14/2017 12:35 pm : link
really emphasizes how short Pugh's arms are. He doesn't need to have his knuckles dragging on the ground, but his hands barely extend past his hips.

Then that's a terribly constructed sentence, and misleading.

Kratch should have probably listed "6 totally random observations" and called it quits.

I mean....5 Tight Ends ?? Mark Sanchez ?? That's crazy talk.

I agree with most of what Kratch says
djm : 8/14/2017 2:31 pm : link
and even the more outlandish stuff IE Sanchez or Tye really isn't that crazy at all. Giants certainly could have signed a bigger named backup QB during the off-season and Tye is far from a bad player.

I also think some are out of wack with the Engram expectations. That has nothing at all do with with the early buzz as for the most part Engram has been hyped up a decent amount but I think Ellison is really flying under the radar of many. He's the best all around TE on this team by a wide margin. I think we're gonna love him if he stays on the field. This guy can play TE.
Engram is just a rookie
djm : 8/14/2017 2:35 pm : link
he's going to bring sizzle to the offense more and more but I have heard some people predict 10 TDs and 600 yards receiving or even more--or even just cementing himself as an integral part of the offense. That's asking a lot from a kid that is now wading in waters with 4 legit and more experienced weapons ahead of him.

Great thing having all this depth and upside at the TE position.
Pugh

Is like a Trex
When discussing rookie starts
Mike from SI : 8/14/2017 2:49 pm : link
He left out Andrew Adams.

Well, I think it's equally about Flowers having long arms... lol. Everyone talks like Pugh is a freak, but really he has probably got normal length arms. Just not freaky long the way they want OL to have nowadays.

Just a random observation on an article addressing random observations. From my experience, most men's hands extend to mid-thigh. Mine extend to mid-thigh about 4-5" from my knee cap.
Yeah I think
Johnny5 : 8/14/2017 7:21 pm : link
I'm about mid thigh as well. And I can't argue that there is a clear and large difference between he and Flowers in that pic... lol
