Not sure how it works when you waive a guy for a non-football injury as opposed to something that happened on the field. Is some kind of injury settlement still required? Ideally he gets signed to the practice squad once he's healthy. Sy'56 seemed to think highly of him. Could be another Jake Ballard (who spent a year on the practice squad).
for a 2nd or 3rd string WR or LB who can also contribute on special teams. They are valuable b/c their physiques lend themselves to both kinds of positions.
