The cross town rivals go out for 4 games. Starting tonight at Yankee Stadium. The Mets are looking to play spoiler while the Yankees are looking to solidify their playoff chances. With Montero pitching tonight, I think the Mets should just forfeit the game and give it to the Yankees and save the hits for tomorrow.
Many other storylines to watch. Judge vs. Conforto and the battle for who is the best young player in NY. Right now Judge is ice cold while Conforto is red hot. Also, the Mets will have Rosario and Smith get their first taste of the Subway series. Finally, does Chapman turn it around after a rough outing (really one pitch) last night.
I was thinking, when is it time to retire the Judge's chambers. I think it is clear now the Yankees should not have started this as soon as they did. Judge may still be a great player, but this was unneeded pressure to put on him.
LOL, easy tiger... I've seen enough of Montero to know this won't last.

Judge needs to get sent down and /or put on the "DL".
Fuckin madness.
JFC, no wonder this world is fucked up. I was responding to somebody posting that Chapman shouldn't close any more because he is struggling and said that they should send Judge down til he gets his swing straightened out, also.
Sorry my sarcasm was not readily apparent to the unwashed masses. It's not like sarcasm is foreign or new to my posts.
The world is fucked up because your post sucked and still no one understands it? Ok drama queen.

It's kind of like the unstoppable force vs. the immovable object.
Yup...

Yea just like Anibal Sanchez Jordan Zimmerman, Trevor Bauer. Marco Estrada wouldn't last

Fuck these umps and their pinched-nerve-having necks.
I like that idea. Bat him second and Hicks third? I wouldn't mind that.
I can't imagine they're disappointed in his outing thus far, and if they are, they shouldn't have him starting anyway.
Pulling him?
Had some arm/neck pain
The tag wasn't immediate.
that was a sink hole he left in the grass.

I though he was safe and I'm very surprised the Mets didn't challenge.
The ball beat him by a year but it was a nice slide and not a real good tag.

Wtf? That ball was 20 rows deep, lol.
Granderson's was a cheapo too.
In any event, hell of a nice start from Montero.
With that smooth easy delivery, I was just thinking the same way. It might be sacrilege, but he does remind me of Mariano. No if he can get a breaking ball or change up.
probably, but Harvey and Thor are officially rehabbing, so who knows, but I think they need to run Montero out there every 5 days and see if he can be counted on for next year.
