Sy isn't the only one who felt the OL was pretty bad today...other beat reporters said the same... but oddly, McAdoo said they had a good day.

Yes! Tomorrow they bring in the coloring books and the bubbles.
There's a problem with we fans watching practice:

We don't always know what they're working on.

If they're working on something specific, they could appear to struggle to our eyes, but the coach might be happy with their progress assimilating that technique.

In general, that's an aspect of training most fans don't understand. (Aikido master George Leonard wrote about it in his book "Mastery.") When you have reached a certain level, and you need to add a technique or new move, you take a step back while you learn it. Your game gets a little bit worse until you master that new technique or move. Then your game jumps up -- and you do it again. If you chart your progress, it's not a ramp, it's stairs, with a little lip sticking up at the edge of each new step.

So our eyes may tell us one thing but we could be missing what's really going on.

Or the line just sucked today and the coach didn't want to say so. That happens too.
