Does working out while fasted/empty stomach increase fat loss because the body would burn the fat instead of any recently consumed calories for energy?
Working out while fasted is nothing new, the old Cybergenics routine from the early 90's was big on that. That program was BRUTAL... but it worked well... probably better than any other workout I have ever used for building muscle and burning fat simultaneously. It was too brutal to follow it for very long though... lol. A lot of the stuff I read now still is a proponent of working out fasted, but most recommend 5-10 Grams of BCAA's before you workout so that you don't have too much catabolism going on with your muscles.
As for the bro science... I seem to get a bit leaner when I workout fasted, but honestly I'm not sure it really makes that much of a difference.

Whether there is science to back that up or not is debatable..but it's something I had read (and not necessarily believed).
