Most iconic moments for every NFL team

djm : 8/17/2017 11:20 am
i'm in the youtube rabbit hole once again...I enjoyed this. Might want to skip past the 7 min mark but I watched it and tool solace in the fact that Philly's most iconic moment was in the regular season.

Hard to argue with any of them.

we have 10 more important, more amazing iconic moments than yours.
Nice of them to start with Ditka's crime.

Nope, unless you consider one of the greatest running backs in NFL history getting slapped in the mouth by his head coach iconic.

that Walter Payton came off as very weird, needy and selfish after super bowl 20. Get over it dude. You finally win a title and you're locked away in a closet during the locker room celebration? I get that his competitive fire is what made him great, but cmon. Ditka didn't do it on purpose and it's not like Payton didn't get any carries that day.

Ditka could have handled it differently but Payton sure as fuck should have.

All you have to know is the story about Ditka screwing the Bears offensive line out of a commercial deal and then turning around two days later and signing the deal for himself to know what kind of person he was back then. He was as big of an attention whore as anybody on those teams.

Disagree. For YEARS Payton was the Bears. He suffered through years of mediocrity and was the good soldier. That was the last chance for him to score in that game and Ditka took it away from him. It might not have been aimed against him directly, but putting in Perry was intentional.
everything you say is true

I just don't think Payton should have broken down like that. Is a TD really that important? I want to win as much as anyone...I am too competitive at times, but I have a hard time relating to an athlete that is emotionally devastated after winning their first and only super bowl.

Upset a little bit? Sure I get that...maybe even harbor some resentment towards the HC? I can even get that...but devastated? The guy was an absolute wreck. That's crazy.
Parcells gave OJ Anderson a chance

AND Morris already had a TD.
...

that was a low class move by Ditka. Perry was just a novelty.

I thought the Bears team was going to be unbeatable for a long time. They never got close again. Skins kept wrecking their chances.
