TS harvey has formed, but likely will be well south of us. But there is a system East of Harvey that could be a TS or hurricane in a few days and looks to be threatening to Florida in 5 to 7 days.

There is another website that weatherman gave me that shows real long range projections and an ensemble of all the models. It had that depression on this morning and it was showing Miami to St Lucie Inlet. It was not on the on the latest forecast when I started thhe thread, but just checked again and it is there now.
Click on "go to real time guidance", then on the red symbols on the chart. Then chose :
1.) early cycle track
2.) late cycle track
3.) GFS ensemble
Latest shows it going up Old Bahama Channel and the Straits of Florida.

If you are talking about PR and Harvey, you should be ok, That track is well south. However the next one goes just North of the Island in 3 days. That is the one to keep an eye for your trip...
Ben, it is early - Mid August to Mid October is when the real poop hits the fan. There have actually been a lot of waves that just missed developing. Now is when the fun begins.
Need to dust off the gas jugs.
