So I have posted my keeper league situation on here before a couple times.
To recap, 12 team, ppr, 6-pt per TD pass league, 2 keepers lose the draft round in year 1, and it halves every year after.
Keepers: Howard (8th), M. Thomas (11th)
I have 2 1st's (3 and 7), 2 2nds and 1 3rd round pick.
I was fine with the 3rd pick until Elliott was suspended. No I think it sucks.
In my league Beckham, Jones, and Elliott were head and shoulders above every other available player.
So now at #3 I'm left with:
McCoy
Freeman
Mike Evans
TY
Dez
etc.
The guy with the 1st overall pick offered to trade me his 1st and 2nd for my two firsts.
That would give me #1 overall (and I'd take Beckham) and then 3 2nd round picks.
So instead of 3, 7, 12, 16, 24
I would have 1, 12, 16, 18, 24
Would you do it?
Based on fantasypros (I'll give you top 25):
1. Beckham
2. Elliott (pre-suspension)
3. Jones
4. McCoy
5. Evans
6. Freeman
7. TY
8. Dez
9. Baldwin
10. Gronk
11. D. Thomas
12. Gurley
13. Hopkins
14. Fournette
15. L. Miller
16. A-Rob
17. Keenan Allen
18. Kelce
19. Watkins (pre-trade)
20. Alshon
21. Tate
22. Crabtree
23. McCaffrey
24. Fitz
25. Landry
I'd probably do the trade, but picks 9 to 25 are such slop that it isn't a no-brainer in my opinion.
I view a big difference between Beckham and McCoy or Evans.
Do you? Do you think there is? If Elliott wasn't suspended it would be a no-brainer to me, but his suspension changes everything.
So basically it's how you consider:
Evans, McCoy or Freeman (@3)
TY, Baldwin, or Gronk (@7)
Gurley, Hopkins or Fournette (@12)
A-rod, Allen, or Kelce (@16)
vs
Beckham (@1)
Gurley, Hopkins, or Fournette (@12)
A-rod, Allen, or Kelce (@16)
Watkins, Alshon, or Tate (@18)
So my core team would be (one of)
Howard (K)
M. Thomas (K)
Evans
TY
Gurley
Kelce
or
Howard (K)
M. Thomas (K)
Beckham
Gurley
Kelce
Alshon
depending how the draft falls.
Do you prefer one of those two or would you expect different targets?
He's really trading 3 and 7 for 1 and 18. If the other guys 2nd was near the top of the round it'd be tougher, but I wouldn't do it as is. You're going from something like:
Evans/Fournette or Evans/Gronk (I like Evans better than McCoy)
to: Beckham/McCaffrey or Beckham/Kelce
I love Beckham and have him as a keeper in a league I'm in, but he's marginally better than Evans FFL-wise. In my league (6 pts TD, 0.5 ppr, 1 pt/10 yds), Evans actually outscored Beckham by 0.5 pt/game last season.
When is your draft? Because I honestly might still take Ezekiel at 3 if his suspension gets reduced to like 3 games. Him + a replacement level guy for 3 weeks still likely ends up top 3 RB.
As is I think I would keep 3 & 7 and draft Evans at 3
What are the odds Freeman or McCoy fall to #7? Any of the teams picking already have 2 RBs?

I could see one of them falling to 7 because there are a lot of Cowboys fans, so someone may take Elliott in the top 7.
But no one is keeping two RB's except one guy keeping Le'Veon Bell and Melvin Gordon, but he picks later.
7 - McCoy/Freeman (TY/Gronk fallbacks)
12 - Fournette/Miller/Gurley if you can start 3 RBs or end up with TY/Gronk otherwise DT/Hopkins
16 - Kelce (Alshon/A-Rob fallbacks)
This would be a strong team:
RB: Howard/Freeman/Miller
WR: Thomas/Evans
TE: Kelce
I agree looking at the stats not a ton of difference between Beckham and Evans.
It was an interesting offer.
Keeper league, DJ, Bell, Brown all kept. Of the remaining players Beckham was 2nd or 3rd best depending on the site along with Elliott and Jones.
OBJ is a top 3 WR and top 6 player in every league. I think what you're "missing" is that pjcas felt there was a bigger gap between OBJ/Julio than the 2016 stats show. (Which is legit if you're talking real football instead ofFFL).
It was an interesting offer.
Will you consider Zeke at 7 if there?
I think you should.
Your volume of picks in the second round will set you up nicely to focus on adding RB depth in rounds 4-7 (which IMO is where a ton of upside sits at RB this year)

Probably, since it's a keeper league and I should have enough talent with the picks and keepers to hopefully keep me alive until Elliott comes back.
I mean he's only moving down two spots and probably doesn't want Odell and knows you do.
