I forgot. Do they pick up the game from where it stopped or play a fresh 9? Given the weather, I'd almost advocate starting a relief pitcher cause it looks like heavy rain beginning around 8 or 9.
RE: Doubt they get the game in, although they may start

That's lame. Didn't realize the weather was that bad up north. Not sure exactly the weather rules either.

I would think that given the importance of these games that they would mess around with them.
Would push Sunday's game to prime time to allow for a dbl header on Saturday OR Sunday?
ballpark falling apart before our eyes. Fuckin Fenway is like the trailer park of baseball stadiums. Run down, ugly, awful neighbors and terrible views.

Don't knock 100 year old fangina. There are some really excited people happy to share their seats with rat feces. They also don't mind the rodent droppings.

Been there several times. It's a terrible stadium, with or without the Sox playing there. Should be replaced ASAP.

It's may be old but it is one f baseball all time great stadiums. It just hosts a shitbag team.

Keep it as a historic site, preserve it and do tours and such, but it really isn't suited for baseball in 2017.
It's a fun place to experience for games. Between Yawkey Way, the bars, history and game experience - it's a lot of fun.
But the ballpark is a fucking truck stop toilet.
Far be it from me to give the Sox any props, but I'm also a huge fan of the fact that you can go in there as a rival fan and not need to worry about anything unless you're being a complete jerkoff. That's the way it should be, every sport everywhere.
That isn't a given, when you have complete trash fanbases like Philly.
I grew up in Brooklyn first rooting for the Dodgers then the Yankees. Just saw Hicks strike out. Your down two runs with Judge up next. They are shifted over to the right side leaving all the left side of the infield vacant. Why not push the ball over there? Even if Hicks homers your still down a run. Boy the game has really changed!

Back in the day, I was at a Yankees v Sox game and I was in the bleachers. No one was fucking with me until Sheffield was grabbed by a fan in right field. I went berserk with my language. I was pissed because it was completely ridiculous what was going on. The guy behind me started mouthing off and grabbed my Yankee skully that my Dad bought me and tore it off my head. I stood up, turned around ready to murder and the guy immediately shrunk like a bitch. I grabbed him by the throat and was choking him, he gave my hat back lickety fuckin split. I told everyone around me that if anyone wants to go, I'm fuckin ready. (this was back in my younger days when I was 260 and ripped to shreds) The section turned silent and me and my pals exited shortly afterwards.
Other than that, no issues. I even walked into the lower section hollering "Let's Go Yankees!" during a Sox/Rangers game and no one said shit. But back in the day, the bleachers by the bullpen could get questionable. All in good fun though. Unless you grab a mutherfuckers head piece.
0-2 count after he just chased a pitch. Why in god's name are you giving him anything near the plate to hit?!?! Absolutely terrible. Blowing the game due to mistake after mistake after mistake.
and idiots like Kay can go fuck themselves with their own pace of play dildo. I don't want a 2 hour baseball game.
That 7th inning was an hour long. Man that was too much baseball for me. They should limit it to 15 minutes per half inning.
You may the only person watching baseball that doesn't feel those mound conferences are a drag, useless and stupid.
Yeah, i don't really care about the mound conferences either. Partly because Kay is such a cunt about them and because it's just part of the game. Who cares?
I'm more annoyed by pitchers stepping out while waiting for the batter to flinch. Stupid horseshit.
but are we really buying the "Maddon burned him out in a dozen innings in 2016" line?
He isn't in a good place mentally and that can be impossible to work past.
That's absolutely a legit possibility. It's a different pitcher from what we saw last season. Did he just forget how to pitch? I doubt it. Maddon overused him. I don't blame him, but it definitely is possible we're seeing the effects.
they have to release Chapman, this guy went Ed Whitson
they should call up adams from AAA and get rid of chapman..and or DL him for the year...but he deserves a suspension. Billy Martin would have destroyed him for what he did tonight.
underestimated the Sox heart. This team knows how to battle in the late innings and pull these games out at home. Since the all star break its been all about hitting with men base. The Sox do it and we don't. End of story.
alittle bit of a hit re: Judge. It's not the fact that Judge is massively struggling but it's how LONG he's been struggling for that the coaches take some responsibility. Clearly, whatever they are suggesting he do has not worked and it hasn't worked in quite sometime.
Setting up the rotation for this series is terrible. Christ he needed to find a scrub to pitch that last game vs the Mets and have our ace on the mound tonight.
Batting order tonight was horrible though he did hit the lottery with Frazier and Headley on this night. Romine again please
Leaving rookie Judge in the 3 hole is not helping the kid. Don;t put more pressure on the rookie. Help him out
The bullpen calls are backwards. Not mixing it up right and bringing Chappy in to start the 8 th was brain dead. When lefty Devers get a hit I don't need to see more.
Cost them this game. Kanhle fucking blows in high stress spots and he blew it. What could have been a glorious win is likely a 6 game defect tomorrow when Sale beats them. Then at best, they leave Fenway 5 out come Sunday or at worst, 7 out. At that point, securing WC #1, not the division, becomes the priority. Boston is just better.
Mentally, chapman has checked out since cubs won WS
year. IMO, it's totally on Joe. With this bullpen, you can't let any one guy lose a game for you and he let Kahnle lose this game. Warren or Robertson would've been better choices in that spot, especially once Kahnle got in severe trouble.
While Kahnle's ERA has been good with the Yankees, he's allowed a lot of hits since his 5 perfect appearances after the trade. Including yesterday, opponents are hitting .333 against him in his last 10 appearances.

I don't get the complaints about Judge. Yes, he's struggled, but as long as he gets on base, he's doing his job. He reached twice in 5 PAs yesterday... he did his job. I thought his AB against Kelly was one of the best he's had in forever. He just didn't come through.
If we're going to complain about RISP, Sanchez and Torreyes squandered a fuckload of opportunities yesterday, but people forgot because they got the big hits in the 7th inning.
That's lame. Didn't realize the weather was that bad up north. Not sure exactly the weather rules either.
I heard the only way he'd agree to the picture is if they threw in a dozen krispy kremes and a 2 liter of Dr. Pepper.
I would think that given the importance of these games that they would mess around with them.

Nice way to disparage trailer parks...

We need some of that at the Stadium. Can't wait.
Frazier needs to dent the wall next.

because he played for toms river in llws
They just keep finding all the fucking holes.
6-5
Might be time to move Judge to 5th, Didi to 4th and Sanchez 3rd.
Fuck
and you throw another changeup.
what the fuck are these guys doing?
agreed.
That's a question that needs to be asked in the post-game. Doubtful, though.
Yet Binders puts him in during these high leverage games.
Who woulda fuckin thought?!?!
Assohole.

agreed.
I'll be annoyed if they don't upgrade there this offseason
These late inning assholes are soft like watery shit.
He's living on his first half rep right now and it's not cutting the cunt fucking mustard.
He's had plenty of opportunity to get RBIs and he's completely corn-shitted the bed.
That 7th inning was an hour long. Man that was too much baseball for me. They should limit it to 15 minutes per half inning.

He lost. I don't know what they are doing to get him straightened out, but it isn't working.
And now Addison turns into Mariano.

Time for bed.

Thanks ass sniffing bullpen trash.
Game was won and these rectal freaks fucked it up.
Of course Romine calls for it though. He's brutal

+1

So Joe ain't figuring it out.
He's not hungry to succeed anymore?
You're a fucking idiot. Holy shit.
That's the default opinion of fans, but he looked absolutely despondent when Rosario hit his home run. The guy cares. He's clearly just a mental mess.
If we lose a wild card game at home to one of these crappy teams like the angels that would be an embarrassment
Why wasn't he available?/// he last pitched Wednesday and Monday .its time for girardi
I expect Bird to inject life into this lineup. Bird/Sanchez/Didi/Judge, let's go.
