The NFL network decided to switch out of the giants Steelers game to bring us Kansas city / 49ers game smh.
Either they or I don't understand their fan base very well. I think the only types of fans who watch with preseason with any interest at all are those who really want to see younger players get on the field late in the game. They seem to think that if they focus their broadcast on those players they will lose their audience. They seem to think that fans are more interested in sideline reports of the big stars, which I feel provides little to no information that isn't already out there and takes away from game/player analysis.

They do understand their fan base. It's called fantasy football. The majority, who are "casual" fans are, trying to see who looks good for their up coming drafts or how the stars are playing. The majority of fans don't care about the "scrubs" until a starter goes down.
They also know that those who want to break down individual players at the end of their teams rosters are doling out the ~100 bucks for game pass to break down film.
Left a nasty gram on their facebook page on that one.
