NFT: FF - pick #7 in a 10 team "standard" league

gmangill : 8/19/2017 8:13 am
I have the 7th pick in a standard league non keeper league.

I know a lot of people look down at 10 team league but this one is important for a few reasons... all participants are either co-workers or customers... its for decent dough over 1k for first place... however, the bragging rights are the real prize... I work with contractors at a supply house... this is a really harsh crowd where the trash talking is massive and lasts all year (this is year 9 of this league with virtually the same participants)

so, this is pretty much how the first 6 picks are going.. (100% positive unless someone is blowing smoke which I doubt)

1. D. Johnson
2. Bell
3. OBJ
4. AB
5. Julio
6. Shady

that leaves me Evans or M Gordon.... I am leaning Gordon just due to the value of top tier RB's this year... I figure on the comeback there will either be a decent RB left (ajai or D Murray) or there will be a top WR..

just looking on your thoughts on my first pick... Evans or Gordon?? (I'm leaning Gordon)

BTW - draft is live and tomorrow....

thanks!

Evans

I would take Evans. He is the 3rd best wr and then I would take Murray on the flip.

As such I have the 9th pick and Evans wont be there. So I am going to take Green or Nelson rd 1 and then Murray in rd 2.

i am 7 also in mine

bit mine is ppr so i am most likely going mike evans if it shakes out that way
In mine i might get lucky though

because someone always seems to take rodgers in the top 6
Part of Gordon's appeal was the amount of TDs he scored last year.

He basically has a different OL (not sire if that means better) and a new coaching staff. The coaching staff has changed the run scheme from a man scheme to a zone scheme. So, can Gordon improve on his numbers? Yeah, but I would rather take the sure thing in Evans.
Evans
Koldegaard : 8/19/2017 8:25 am : link
All the way. He was the #1 wr last year and
he will be top 3 og he avoids injury. I would go Evans over all wr's except OBJ.
If you feel like you could get DMurray with your 2nd, then take

Evans... Or even Evans/Ajayi...

Evans TD upside is just very enticing
If you take Murray

use as higher mid round pick 8-10 on Henry as a handcuff.
Gordon scares me
gmangill : 8/19/2017 9:45 am : link
but all "expert" sites have him ranked so high overall.... I def don't want to screw up my first... you all may just have me leaning evans now and hope for a solid rb on the come back.... thanks!
Take Evans

and dont think twice. 1st round is all about highest floor possible.
A ton of decent and high potentiual rbs late

R.Kelly, Rawls, Peterson to name a few.

WRs much higher crap shoot later....Evans is better value imo
