HOW DO YOU BLOW ANOTHER LEAD TO THE DAMN SOX??? What the fuck is wrong with team??? We score 4 in the 7th. They should be pumped and the Sox deflated...but no they answer right back with 4 runs.
And Judge...bases loaded in the 6th and you fucking ground out to end the inning and then in the 7th bases loaded again and you strike out. DAMN YOU!!!
This team drives me bonkers some time.
ok I am done ranting.
CC vs Sale tonight. This might not be pretty.
And Girardi just confirming why he is not a very good manager. They weren't expected to do much this year and they are in the 1st wild card. Big deal.
His decisions with the bullpen are annoying. Not so much talking about last night, but giving Chapman a vote of confidence and naming him the "closer". Are you kidding me? You sit his ass down and pitch him in the 6th or 7th, then Robertson, and then Betances to close.
Sorry, my rant is over now too.
Just hard to keep losing these games with leads.

Better enjoy it now. Ask Detroit about what Dombrowski does with farm systems. Better hope Devers and Benitendi are for real because if they're not, your team has a lot of money tied up in guys about to enter the downsides of their careers. Your bullpen, other than Kimbrel, sucks. Your rotation, other than Sale, is mediocre at best. Your offense can be pitched to, if the opposing pitcher doesn't completely shit the bed.
In the war between the Yanks and the Red Sox, there's one ruler of the seven kingdoms and while your team may have won a few battles over the past 15 years, overall, it's nowhere near close.
Yeah, but at least you have Mr. Met
How old are you? You're either 12 or just not very bright. Maybe both. All of your posts come across like you're the mouthy brat in junior high school that takes pride in getting his ass kicked and lunch money stolen every day because at least your getting attention.
Coming on to a Yankee thread to run your cum dumpster? What a wonderful life you must lead. I'm guessing you sleep with your Dustin Pedroia bobblehead every night while wearing your much too small Big Papi onesies with the feet cut out? That's what I'm picturing you looking like, with your thumb firmly planted in your mouth.
Did I nail it? I did, right?
He should be dropped to the 6 hole to take some pressure off and fined every time he hit's a ball to the left side of second base when the ball is from the middle to the outside edge of the plate.
Back to basics. Keep your hands inside the ball ala Jeter. Take the ball the other way. Start hitting line drives and not worry about HRs.

I'm a cubs fan and a Yankees fan, and Chapman has been a joke since the playoffs last year. He almost cost the cubs the series last year, and its not gotten better. I was nervous when then Yankees signed him again and look what he's done...
103 simply isn't nearly as scary, guys like Cessa throw a 100 now.
Chapman probly needs time off to get his head right. Let him go to A ball on his rehab and blow everyone away.
In the offseason Chapman needs to REST, but also develop either a 2 seam FB, or work on his change and slider.
Hopefully his control comes back next year as well.
Looking at his career stats, this season and his 2nd MLB season are the only years he's had any struggles. And last season he was arguably at his best up until half way through the WS when he lost his FB

He got a 3 inning save in a 1 run game in game 5 when your season was on the brink. I'd say he saved that series for you guys. It's not his fault that Maddon brought him into a blowout in game 6 and he had nothing left by game 7.
I truly do believe we are seeing the effects of that usage this season. He was dominant here last season. That shouldn't just go away at age 29, unless there has been outlier usage.
That gets us to 20 "seasons"
Including learning early in his career and declining in his twilight years and against the best of the best in the post season, Mariano Rivera averaged 3.7 blown saves a year for 20 years.
This in a position notorious for the brief peaks in many closer careers.
The total current mix and match to their advantage Yankee relief staff has more blown saves so far this year than any five and a half years of Mariano Rivera's career. At this rate by seasons end they will have as many blown saves in one year as Mariano Rivera averaged in 8 seasons
One of the greatest performers in all of sports I ever saw play
Hope all is well with you and yours, Bill.
How does it make sense to drop the team and AL's leader in walks (by a mile) down in the order? He still leads the AL in walks post-All Star break with a couple more than Mike Trout. Plus, it's not as if we've got a superstar trapped in the 6 spot. Moving him down just for the sake of moving him down doesn't help the team when he's STILL one of their 4 best hitters even in this horrific slump.
Mainly because it is damn hard to parse the ridiculous rants against him from what could be legitimate comments.
I mean, I'm watching the game last night thinking what the fuck is the bullpen doing, not questioning the manager. Part of that comes from playing the game for years where I don't remember many times where I could point to a game where the manager either won or lost a game through decision-making, and frankly, I think the same holds true today.
The players have to make plays. They have to close out games. I know there is more specialization and access to statistics, but if you are a reliever, you are there to protect a lead and as a fan, I expect that - not to constantly second guess who is pitching.
I don't know why, but when a team loses it is almost like fans want one neck to choke, so they pick a player who didn't come through in a critical point or they blame the coach/manager. How often did we hear, TC just didn't have the team ready, despite knowing that goes against every fiber of what TC's pedigree was?
Chapman: Despite what Girardi says, it seems Chapman is no longer the undisputed closer. After Mitchell's Ricky ( Wild Thing ) Vaughn impersonation the other day, Girardi went to Bentances even though Chapman was more rested at the time. Last night, since they were behind, a closer would normally not be used in the 9th, but Girardi went to Chapman.
This is a young team that still doesn't have a lot of depth. With Hicks, Castro and Bird injured they don't have the firepower. Judge and Sanchez are rookies. The Yankees make a big deal about not letting Montgomery over extend himself in his first MLB season, maybe they should have done the same thing with Judge.
I have enjoyed this group and will continue to cheer every day. I hope they surprise in October and make my rant BS but my guess is there are stronger teams and we are not ready.
I like what Cashman has accomplished. I thing Girardi is a good manager in a difficult job. I think these Yanks are going in the right direction.
We need to sure up the starting pitching. We need some more bats in our lineup. I'm hoping that Castro and Bird will help. Severino and Montgomery are keepers yet they need seasoning. Tanaka, Sabathia, and Gray will need to be analyzed as to their future.
Yankee fans blame the manager, the umps, upper management and beyond and yet the player needs to perform at a high level. We need to enjoy the team without expectatations.
2. Girardi is like a stale fart. After this season , he needs to take a year or two off, then return energized at a new venue. He doesn't have any feel for the game in progress. The analytics dictate his every move. He's lost four games in recent memory because he pulled a reliever who was dealing , when that pitcher easily had another inning in them.
Kay made this point last week. Cone agreed with him. When you use everyone , you enhance the statistical probability that one guy is going to be off. The bifurcated bullpen roles are bullshit , anyway.
And, yes, Chap remains the closer. The question is Why?
He's not, at least not the official, full-time closer. Girardi said he'll now go with matchups and use Chapman wherever makes sense.

Oh shit, this ass clown is a Mets fan? Bwahaaaa! I completely forgot about the deGrom thread, lol. His posts are so dreadful and infantile that I assumed he/she was a Sox fan. Being a Mets trolling a Yankee thread is a billion times worse. At least the Sox are good. What a freaking loser
