but he's not a #3 hitter. If Bird regains his form, he should bat third, with Gary cleanup and Judge fifth. With Gardy and Hicks at the top and Didi sixth, we'd be pretty tough. But Bird is a big "if."
Throw some real high spin rates into the dirt. Looks like Gary is getting better about collapsing rather than just stabbing with the glove; I think now they need to get his body moving forward as he collapses so he can swallow them up and give them less room to skid around on him back there.

Judge is the best position player we drafted since Jeter. He's a rookie and it is too early to say what he is other than very good.
You sound so tired and boring these days,.indirectly bringing up an argument you havent been ablr to defend.
Whatever, Yanks won and Sanchez is hitting well. Glad for him. We'll see how nuch longer you let us allow baserunners when we shouldnt and how oftwn it's Sanchez' fault. If he keeps hitting this way, Im good. But numbers say he isnt going to.

Chop. You gotta let this stuff slide. It's not personal. It's some good natured shit talking. You're a great poster here and we all take a bit of a beating every once in a while.

Sanchez fucked your wife. I'm now certain of it. Your obsession with ripping him is beyond anything remotely realistic at this point. You decided he was fat and lazy and only hit home runs in games that they were losing 7-1, so now you will continue on your fucking pathetic journey to try to prove your point that he sucks and is fat and lazy. Shame on you. You should be better than this. But I guess when you dig in, you must defend yourself. Truth be damned.

No need to get upset.
B, Im not mad. I know I flew off the handle during that Indians series (I think...I cant remember its been long enough). But ai checked into a Yanks thrwad a few days ago, after Sanchez had been yanked for a game and having not said a single fucking thing about it. I check in after El Gari lets another two get on after strikeouts, and remark at him gunning the baserunner out at 2nd and its stilk "good natured ribbing?" Or is it "jerkoffs who wont let shit go UNITE" material.
Now I have to respond to BigBlueNitro and his cuss-riddled nonsense.
Im just calling dickheads jerkoffs and jerkoffs assholes...

RA RA RAAAAWWWWWRRR! Im BigBlewShockey!
Eat me dude. I madevONE string of comments about Sanchez' defense when he was letting on baserunners following strikeouts that cost us runs during a bad stretch for thw team....and while his bat has been back, he did the same, thpe,of ridiculous shit tonight.
Sanchez, RIGHT NOW, is a fairly shitty defensive catcher. Yes, can gun down guys trying to steal 2nd. But if he can't stop put-away sliders, and occasional 100 mph high fastballs, I would consider him as only a part, time catcjer/DH....which is very much how he has been played.
I had floated the notion that the Yanks sit him a game or few. He wasnt hitting well. If je isnt hitting having him as our full time catcher was not advantageous was all. You and a few others thought it preposterous. Then he was benched for a game and turned it around. Im not sure what I have to say other than my original argument: SANCHEZ IS HORRIBLY LAZY AT GOING AFTER BALLS IN THE DIRT AND HES NOT GETTING ANY BETTER AT IT. This, despite him carrying an above average bat in the line up and having a cannon to throw runners out with.
Im just calling dickheads jerkoffs and jerkoffs assholes...
So then you admit you've been mislabeling people.
No, I have not been mislabeling people. I have been correctly replacing the labels that people have been living with ones that better suit their personas Miltom.
Agreed, having him back in the fold (reminds me so much of Olerud) I think he sparks our lefty heavy line up and pushes guys like Headleyband Cooper into a great PH situation.
and fix Judge's swing, and this starting team is amazing. Judge's current flaws might take until next year, but I am confident it can be fixed. Consider that post-All Star, Headley is batting .348--he's fine back at third until Torres is ready.
Funny how this series is similar to last weekend's.
You sound so tired and boring these days,.indirectly bringing up an argument you havent been ablr to defend.
You know who did a great job defending the argument this week? Gary Fucking Sanchez.
The guy made several key stops this week against the Mets and gunned down three runners trying to advance into position in the late innings. He's had a couple clutch hits and has been the biggest catalyst to the excellent last several games.
I'm not sure why a position that is fucking horrendous needs to be debunked. Any fan with a pair of eyes knows sanchez is an above average defender and isn't fat nor lazy, so telling people they need to defend that steaming pile of horseshit is just another slap to logic's face.
But keep at it. Why I don't know, but it is amusing to read the delusions and then the ridiculous rants when the delusions are proven to be shit.
to say Sanchez' problems earlier this year stemmed from laziness. Girardi also seemed to think so, as indicated by more days off than usual. The last benching seemed to wake the man up.
I agree with you that to categorize him as a lazy player overall was wrong. To categorize his offense as nothing special was wrong and inexplicable. To do either after the last two weeks is ridiculous.
Even the ball last night was not laziness. He shift his body and got out to the left. That ball just took off and hit his arm. He was where he needed to be. He also pounced on it and almost got to it in time to make a throw. Noticed how he did handle the pics in the dirt on the final pitch of that i,I ingredients from Robertson.
Also, other metrics like staff and ERA, etc. disprove any of the insane notions that he is a terrible catcher.
Doubling down on the "lazy" bullshit. And also "not getting any better"!
You can see what Girardi thinks starting at around 1:37 of the below link.
It doesn't fit the narrative that some people have in their head, but the two WILD PITCHES tonight were some vicious spinners that bounces well in front of Sanchez and darted back toward the glove side. Not impossible to block by any stretch, but blocking either one would have been a ++ defensive play.
Of course, no mention of the strikeout (forget which battler it was) on a nasty pitch in the dirt when Sanchez got down, took the ball off the protector, ball bounded 8-10 feet to the first base side, and Sanchez sprung up and made the throw with time to spare. Link - ( New Window )

Ugh
best arm in awhile since pudge imo
Let's take it.
That would make us 7-3 in the 10 game stretch we all were looking at. Which was needed at the least.
Let's take the series tomorrow. Get em Sonny Gray !
And despite playing in Clownway, with all its Bullshit, they win. Great stuff.

Either way, great win. Needed that after last night

Just fucking around. I'm with you. He needs to cut down on PBs. It hasn't helped especially late in games and on strike 3s.
