This "protest is downright comical. I can't wait until they replace these jackasses with lasers and computers. Do they not realize that they are viewed as completely inept and narcissistic. If Angel Hernandez worked in any other profession he would have been fired decades ago. Country Joe West in that little pea brain of his thinks he's more important to the sport then Babe Ruth. If the commish had any guts he d fire them all right now. More players need to speak out against them.

Although MLB officiating is better than any other professional sport, they should not be immune from criticism. And because a ball player calls out an under performing ump, doesn't mean they have the right to whine to the Commish. They have to know that almost all fans think the strike zone being called is a moving target and needs to be cleaned up.

They are an embarrassment

If Joe West got 3 games for less. Had the target been anyone but Angel Hernandez maybe he would have been.

The fact he is suing mlb for not getting playoff games is laughable considering what a horrible umpire and person he is.

I have zero problem with Joe West and umps in general

They usually do a good job imo.

However, I believe Computers should replace them, atleast for balls and strikes.

Also, Angel Hernandez is an albatross to baseball and the wristbands are a discgrace to all of them.

Besides Angel hernandez they are okay, but Angel is the worst in history.

Atleast Joe West is a decent ump at times

With that said, the umpire union's responses to these issues make no sense- they say they hold themselves/their members accountable and to the highest standards... umm, do umps ever get fired or demoted to the minors?
