How does McAdoo handle Monday/Saturday Preseason Games?

ZogZerg : 8/20/2017 1:38 pm
This schedule kind of sucks. They play Monday night and then again on Saturday night. 2 games in 5 days.

That's 4 days between games during the preseason. Does he play the starters less Monday night than he would if they would have played Friday or Saturday? Does he play the starters less on Saturday against the jets? Does he go about it the same way?

Also, what happens at practice Tuesday - Friday? I assume Tuesday and Friday are light days. Does he practice hard on Wednesday and/or Thursday?

It will be interesting to see how he goes about things.
Obviously those two games are more important than the 4th

but we also go from Saturday to Thursday for the 3rd and 4th games. The NFL never makes sense when it comes to scheduling.
But it's not like the starters

are playing the whole game....they haven't played for 10 days...chances are they play one quarter/half Monday, and then one half on Sat....doubt you see many starters against the Pats on thurs....then they have 10 days to prepare for the Cowboys....
I would think

That they really focus on this game, game 2. Game 3 probably less PT for the starters given the quick turn around.

Weird schedule
Monday night pre-season game

really shouldn't happen. The NFL can never pass up a buck. Best strategy from Ben would be to have starters play games 2 and 4 but it's become gospel for teams to barely play starters in game 4. Not clear to me why the risk of injury is greater in the 4th pre-season game than the 3rd but better minds I suppose.

Playing starters in week 3 as opposed to week 4 gives players a bit of a breather period and more time to heal before week one of the regular season.
I just hate the

fact its always the Jets the 3rd game. It always ramps up the intensity in a meaningless exhibition. I remember Eli almost getting his head taken off a few years back.
