He was a FORCE leading up to that event and OWNED AND DOMINATED the derby with force.
Since then he's been simply awful.
He runs the bases well, fields RF well, has a good arm, tremendous power, good batters eye.
Those tools seem to have a high floor the next 5 years..
But he's not ever going to hit 330 again is he??
I'd sign for him to hit .275 for his career at this point.
What say you? And did the HR derby, judges chambers, or Girardi have anything to do with it??
Maybe it's just simply a rookie wall.
I sit him tomorrow.
Combine that with some natural regression, a bit of a rookie wall, and that every player goes through slumps, and you've got this. I think the attention and pressure that's been placed on the kid is a bit unfair. It's got to wear on him, it's only natural.
I'd sit him tomorrow maybe though.
It's not out of the realm of possibility to maybe send him down for a 3 day trip to AA or AAA.. but judges chambers kinda ruined that and all the hype. Judge to AAA would be too huge of a story not even an option right now imo

Well said.
He's really getting lots of high heat and low/away offsepeed and he's just not adjusting well.
Atleast Sanchez is getting red hot again it seems
Slumps are slumps but man can a coach please get him back to what worked in the first half?
Next question.
Thanks and around the same time he hit the RF wall really hard , might have been after the break but can't remember
The derby he was sooo beast it was crazy and the games leading into it
They are both coming soon..
Holliday is 0-10 in A-Ball Tampa
Tough day for you huh?

* I think he should close his stance, it would give him a split second more to see the ball.
* Maybe the psychology of trying to rip the cover off the ball (as in the homer derby) has got into his head. He may may not be keeping his head down (instead cheating his eyesight to the "judge's chambers" in the stands.
*. Something else that always helps slumping batters is chocking up un the bat , a bit (like Didi is doing these days); lowering his hands (to get to the ball more quickly) and maybe even resting the bat on his shoulder (f nothing else works)
There's a lot of little adjustments he can make, (which he needs to)
Now maybe they should review Giancarlo Stanton's swing. He is similar size even if a bit leaner. See what Stanton does and if it can be applied to Judge.
In the end, Judge needs be -placed lower in the lineup. He did a lot to kill rallies last weekend. When Headley is having better at bats and has done so since the all star break, it is time to get him in a better slot. Getting Castro and Bird back will be huge.
