Recall that game early last year vs I think the Bills where it looked like a season ending knee injury for sure.

He was back the next week.

If Marshall got hurt on the play where Eli overthrew him a bit, he played a handful of snaps afterwards. So, if it was really bad, I'm not sure that would have been the case.

Doesn't rule anything out, but.. it's something.

I can't think of any other hits he took, and he was out blocking for a few plays after that...hoping just precautionary

There is no reason not to hit guys, preseason or not. These games are to prepare for the season. You can't do that by not hitting.

He probably would have laid out to make the grab. He pulled up to not get hurt and got hit anyway which is why that penalty should have stood.

I was thinking the same thing. It looked like a few Browns were out to impress the boss. The guy is a dirt bag and should never have been allowed back in the NFL.

DBs used to intimidate receivers by taking their heads off with big hits. You can't do that. So why not tell your guys to go for the knees? Don't you think that might make receivers concerned and possibly lose concentration? Thus accomplish the same thing as the head shots. What better place to showcase than nationally televised MNF?

I would not put it past teams to do that.
