Some people can't stand the diva stuff and want to go back to a different time.
It's not that black and white. Lots of guys who are terrific ball players in today's game who don't have all the extra drama. Larry Fitzgerald, perfect example, across a celebrated, universally respected career.

Fitz had a year or two of salary drama at or before Warner's arrival. Kept reading about his demands or expectations. Am I misremembering his whining?

I think this is an example of 'the perfect is the enemy of the good.' Nobody's perfect, but some guys exhibit more class and professionalism than others. I think Fitz is a good example of this.
But I guess I view that a little differently. Not dismissing it, if true. Strahan had plenty of that stuff, as well, we all recall (peanut butter sammich).
Negative. It appears to be a low ankle sprain. Thank goodness. He could have blown out a knee on that hit! In this case, Eli's high throw might have saved his knee, as OBJ was just coming down when he got hit and the foot grazed the ground at the time of the hit. If his foot was on the ground, there's no doubt he could have blown out the knee. There was no reason for that type of hit, especially in a pre-season game.
People say some crazy shit.
people said he COULD be the best wide receiver of all time if he continues on this pace and stays healthy...i dont see the exagerration there...
for the first 3 years he is better than anyone else's firat 3 years

Not quite sure why NFL receivers have all become prima donnas but they have.
Bill Simmons actually wrote a good column on that several years ago. Have they all gone mad? - ( New Window )
Thanks for that. Here's my favorite quote from the article:
"or ignore them like you would a deranged homeless man on the street.
Just don't complain, because it's only going to get worse."
