NFT: Best place to by (snow) skis online

davek3698 : 8/23/2017 1:51 pm
My 14 y/o is doing another year with the ski club, so we thought it would make more sense to buy him gear as opposed to renting each time. Is there a preferred place online to buy? TIA

Is an issue. Doesn't his club have a deal with or suggestion for a shop?
Powder 7

When I was researching this, Powder 7 came up as the best place. I have not bought from them, but I have friends who are active skiers - mom is on ski patrol for nearby mountain- who have. Their used skis are the main draw and are supposedly awesome deals.

In Golden CO. Very knowledgeable folks. I've bought multiple pairs of skis and boots from them.
Where is he doing the ski club?

timing might be off, but most mountains near me in New England have "swaps" (though usually in the spring) where people bring in their used or lightly used equipment and sell it to others.

Great deals. Some of the stuff is practically brand new.

My older kids both do ski club and the first year that's where we got their stuff.

I wouldn't get a helmet or goggles that way, but skis, bindings, poles and possibly even boots I would when they're young.

they grow out of stuff so fast (depending on age) I hate buying new for kids for stuff like that.
