Giant defense should be able to take care of business even with Zeke.
So stop playing conspiracy-theory with this suspension delay nonsense, its embarrassing...
Conspiracy? The NFL rep comes up with a new 'top-late' rule. $$$$$. The Giants kept Zeke and his team to less than 10 points in game 2, after the Cowboys had developed into an unstoppable force.
JPP and Mr Collins will have something to say about Zeke... lets go
I'm not sure what your point is. Regardless of the reasons, the Giants-Cowboys games are always near the top of the ratings each year.
My point wasn't cryptic. Your assertion that "There is no bigger game ratings wise in the NFL during the regular season than Giants-Cowboys" has no evidence to support it.
Prime-time Cowboys games pull big ratings every year, no matter who the opponent is.
First of all, did anyone really ever doubt he'd play week 1?
Second of all, smacking Elliot in the mouth on his way to a suspension and beating the Cowboys in Dallas on opening day, again, would be the most satisfying win this team has had in a long time. For me, it'd be tops since the last SB. I wanna see this punk get pounded...

Whole thing smells fishy.
There is no bigger game ratings wise in the NFL during the regular season than Giants-Cowboys. So it conveniently works out that Elliott sits six games but not the Giants game? Sorry, I'm not buying it.
But it puts them in a bigger hole if the Giants can beat them in Dallas with Zeke playing. If the Giants win that game, the Cowboys probably have to go 4-2 without Zeke or else they're likely in deep shit. The tone can be set for a potential letdown season in Dallas on Sunday night.
I am not one to say we want to play their best. However, teams tend to play inspired when they think they have been wronged and it could inspire Dallas. Now they can't help but feel that they're OK, they got Zeke.
If I am the Giants I am thinking that I am sick of hearing about Zeke. We gonna shut him the F down. I think the defense will be especially fired up to face him, and in a lot of ways they may prefer that he plays. It will give them an opportunity to test themselves vs the unstoppable Dallas running attack.
he gets to play week 1 they shut zeke down and beat them in both games last year i fully expect they do it again this year so its better he misses another game where his absent weakens them to another potential loss than against the giants
the whole thing has clearly been done to appease the league sponsors who wanted that marque matchup not to be damaged by zekes suspension
Zeke not playing doesn't make it a non-premier matchup. People would still tune in at the same or close to the same numbers. They don't turn into the Chargers because of this.
Why:
It's good for the Giants so that when we beat them they can't say it was because Elliott wasn't playing.
It's bad for Dallas because:
1. We will beat them with or without Elliott
2. So they will lose Elliott in a different game that they may have had a chance at winning.
Letting him play week 1 means they lose him week 8 against the Redskins who can beat them without Elliott but maybe not with him.
The story of this game is, can the Giant offense show improvement over last season?
I could care less if EE plays......yes, the circumstances of the delay, allowing him to play, is pure crap.....but is anyone surprised, when it comes to Jerruh?
I want this offense to click on all cylinders, even if without a healthy OBj, against a supposedly weak defense.....and I want us to bury the 'Boys.....none of this get the lead and then go conservative, putting the pressure on the Defense.
As others have said, stick it to Jerruh by stopping EE and the Dallas offense......and pile it on offensively.
no idea why people are penciling in this as a win. They are a much better team with Elliot than they are without.
Must be because:
1) We blew them out twice last year (/sarcasm)
2) The Giants' offensive line and running game are hugely improved (/sarcasm)
3) Manning and Marshall have shown magical chemistry already (/sarcasm)
4) Road division games are always cakewalks (/sarcasm)
5) The current 3-techs are a massive upgrade over Hankins (/sarcasm)
6) Second-year QBs never show significant improvement (/sarcasm)
7) "Bad" Eli has been purged forever, and will not be seen again (/sarcasm)
8) If Dallas somehow keeps it close, our proven veteran kicker gives us a big edge over Dan Bailey (/sarcasm).

Giants v Cowshits 2016 was the most watched NBC game last yr.
is that all the pressure for this game is on Dallas. This is a house money game for the Giants. Dallas loses with Elliott and the pressure gets even larger with the suspension coming up.
on Dallas than the Giants to win this game. Seems pretty obvious to me but you disagree and that's fine.
You're probably right, but it's a huge game for both teams. We have no idea how the season might unfold. Suppose Eli or Snacks gets dinged and misses a few games, or Beckham's ankle lingers. A win in Dallas might give the Giants the margin they need to survive a rough stretch of the kind they had in 2011 after Boley went down.

Right. Because BBI is just filled with unbridled optimism, arrogance and stupidity.

The point is EE is inconsequential when you take into account the matchup. The Giants aren't perfect but the defense should be the same or better. He's a good player but he simply doesn't impact vs the Giants like he would vs a team that doesn't have a top end front 4.
Sean Lee or Martin/Smith being out would benefit the Giants more than EE being ruled out.
Especially since it sure did not apply last year with OBJ not getting his appeal ruled on until Wednesday yet still had to sit on Sunday.
ANother example of the fact that with the NFL the Dollar overrules ethics
what a joke
beat their asses

You can't make this shit up !

It really doesn't matter in the scheme of things, ZE is not a superhero and our D can bring him even more down to earth.
But if they uphold a suspension, except for week 1, that is such transparent BS...but whatever
I have no problem with the giants playing the cowboys at full strength but the whole situation is an obvious joke. Very disappointing...
In other words they double downed on the absurd rationale they used in their earlier excuse of "It would be unfair"
the whole thing has clearly been done to appease the league sponsors who wanted that marque matchup not to be damaged by zekes suspension
