This show is a joke......basically 60 minutes of nothing.....and then there is Ray Lewis......I can't believe this show is on the air!
I used to love it Saturday mornings a long time ago (I think when it was on HBO) when I was a kid. The announcer's voice was so smooth in his descriptions of the games - I know he was famous but I can't think of his name right now. I recall it being pretty quality back then but it could just be nostalgia.
were great. They were entertaining and genuine.
Then they started adding people (I think it started with Chris Collinsworth) and they both faded away as the talking heads took over.
one of my favorites...
it was awesome. I never heard the people on that show laugh as loud as they did
because of the great highlights is what really made me a football fan.
While I dislike the format of the show now, especially not showing EVERY game highlight, I thought last night was at least somewhat interesting how to stop the Patriots and Tom Brady (from Ray Lewis). I'm not a Ray Lewis fan but his insight and narration of the SB highlights was pretty good.
After the Giants won the SB in 2007 was amazing.
It was the last one w that famous announcer (name also escapes me- Philly guy).
John Facenda. Harry Calas replaced him. Then it was Boomer Esiason, not sure who this year yet.

WTF are you talking about. John Facenda died in the early 80s.
the coach...Allie Sherman...probably better at ITNFL than at coaching, but he was a good guy and knew the game.
But he was a Philly guy like Calas.
took over after Harry Kalas...
I saw a few minutes of this week's show last night, which was obviously recorded earlier in the week. Phil Simms was talking and said that he listens to all of the sports shows (turning to Esiason), "...even your's Boomer. I'm glad you have a partner." By the time the show aired, Boomer's partner Craig Carton had been arrested and suspended.
