Just had my big money league draft last night. Full PPR 10 Team League, I had the 8th overall pick. Rate my roster and what I need to improve on.
Starting Lineup
QB - Matt Stafford
RB - Devonta Freeman
RB - Ezekiel Elliot
WR - Keenan Allen
WR - Michael Crabtree
TE - Jack Doyle
Flex - Kareem Hunt
K - Dustin Hopkins
D - Steelers
Bench
RB CJ Anderson
RB Jamaal Williams
RB Tevin Coleman
RB Darren McFadden
WR Emmanuel Sanders
WR Brandon Marshall
WR Jamison Crowder
I had to punt QB and TE positions the way the draft was going till later rounds (Stafford in 12th and Doyle in 13th rounds). I also wanted to ensure I had the backup RBs to my starters and took Tevin Coleman (8th) and Darren McFadden (11th) a round too early.
That said, I think both Stafford and Doyle have upside this year, especially with Luck not playing and Doyle should get a lot of check down targets. If I need to upgrade at either position, I have the bench ammo to package Stafford or Dayle with one of CJ Anderson or my WRs to get a top tier player at those positions.

My team in a 10 team standard league
QB: Mariota, Manning
RBS: McCoy, Gurley, Coleman, D. Martin, J. Williams
WRS: A. Browm, Beckham, Jeffery, Parker, Perriman, C. Davis
TE: Eifert, Engram
Chiefs kicker, Patriots D
I'm feeling pretty confident. We have 5 keepers in my league. I kept Beckham, McCoy, Gurley, Jeffery and Mariota and took Brown with the first pick.
OK you're just showing off. Someone actually didn't keep Antonio Brown? Or they were out of keeps? With some good health, you should definitely make the playoffs and challenge for the league championship.
I love the flyer on Parker, I think he is going to be one of the biggest surprises in fantasy this year. One criticism, I don't like Doug Martin. When I have to play him, I hate it, because he disappoints. Don't even know if it's a sure thing he starts when his suspension is over. His rushing average last year was a putrid 2.9 ypc on 144 carries. Now I know that ypc doesn't matter in fantasy. And he did have decent games, but he was also fortunate that on the games where he had REALLY low yardage, he scored, and on the games where he had decent yardage and threw in some receiving yardage, he still got in that 9-10 fantasy point range. But I don't like that to happen again and I'd rather have a guy with upside in that spot on my bench. Not sure where you took Martin and who was available, but a guy like Derrick Henry, ADP was about a round later.
Martin had a rough 2016 but he was outstanding in 2015. He averaged just a shade under 5 YPC and was one of the best backs in football.
I don't think it's fair to point to his 2016 without mentioning that.
Now that they have Jackson to stretch the field more and provide another vertical threat, I think Martin will be closer to his 2015 self than what we saw last year. He looked really good in pre this year.
If Martin is healthy when he's off suspension, I expect him to have a solid year. I don't expect a repeat of 2015, but I think he can rip about 4 yards a clip, post close to 1k and find the endzone 6-7 times in the 13 games he's eligible to play.

Brown couldn't be kept again because he was a first rounder 2 years running. I was kind of lucky to just miss the playoffs last year and throttle the remaining teams in the toilet bowl to get the first pick to take him. Some numb nuts dropped Aaron Rodgers for no reason so I could have went with him instead of Brown but, in the end, I couldn't resist teaming up Brown with Beckham and rolling with Mariota who I have locked up as keeper in the 15th round.
I really don't like Kareem Hunt tonight against the pats
This is obviously a flex position
Thanks
Hunt.
I read an article that said Andy Reid’s lead back over his career averaging nearly 20 fantasy points in points per reception leagues.
Makes sense when you think of how good Westbrook was for a number of years.
I just don't trust him.
And 2015 he ran almost 300 times, was buoyed by a 235 yard explosion against the Eagles. That game aside, and I really shouldn't diminish that game, but I don't believe that this Bucs' team is going to run the ball that much. Their offense is much different now and even if Martin is good, I don't believe he will get the ball enough to warrant any excitement in fantasy, and he still sucks, IMO.
12 team .5 ppr (4pts for throwing TD)

Curious how the draft unfolded for you where you got Dez, Murray and Gurley? Did Gurley last to the 3rd round?
IMO, you clearly spend your top picks on RB's, but I don't love the RB's that you got. I don't love Dez as a WR1 and your depth behind Pryor is brutal. Your QB's will be the worst in the league and your TE is average at best. I fear that you will need to manage your ass off to make the playoffs.
So, even if you assume a fair regression, using him as a RB3/flex is still reasonable.
I have Rodgers in one of the two leagues anyway so even if he gets hurt or sucks I'll be fine.
McCoy
AJ Green
Hopkins
Lynch
Brees

WR3: Crabtree
TE: Engram
Flex: Crowder
K: Rosas
Def: NYG
Bench:

RB: Mixon/Woodhead/Perkins
WR: Kevin White

There just wasn't a chance for me to take a TE that I wanted so I had to wait.

Then I would want you in my league because I would kick your ass. Homers always screw themselves up because they won't draft rival teams' players. Dumb in FF.
I play in 2 high $$ leagues, and am usually in the money every year. There are plenty of options besides Elliot at RB, or any Cowboy player for that matter. These blanket "you're an idiot" statements are useless and wrong.

That's a really strong ppr team. The area of concern is QB, but for a 12-team league, I think you will be good with what you have in that lineup. I'd probably rather have a high volume slot receiver than Jalen Richard at this point though. Someone like Cole Beasley or Sterling Shepard. I understand the reasoning by the Richard pick, and it's actually pretty sneaky and could be a boon to your team, but even if Lynch goes down, you're not going to play him over your first 3 guys. Would make for an interesting trade situation, however.

It was an auction draft, not a snake. I didn't spend more than $50 on anyone though

I think it's pretty obvious where your focus is going to be. You clearly need to add a WR1 to your roster, but you are either above average or well above average everywhere else. Keep your eye on the waiver wire and teams hurting for RBs. In week 5, I'd be shopping Murray for a WR1.

That was my thought process, either grab a guy off the waiver (we have to pay for our waivers) or trade a guy like Doug Martin down the road providing he does well

Yeah definitely. Side note: notice no NFCE opponents ;). Nice little bonus.
All touchdowns are 4 points. Team QBs
5 bonus points for TD plays over 50 yards (so 50 yard touchdown is 14 points: 5 for yards, 5 for 50+, 4 for TD)

Should I drop the Giants Def to pick up Dion Lewis? I play in Yahoo so I can drop any bench RBs after they play their game.
It's an FAAB league so I may have to spend $2 out of $200 to pick the Giants back up.
The waiver still has the Rams Def so I think I will be alright if I don't get the Giants def back.

Don't see why you'd stop now. You are loaded with useless players and I assume you aren't starting 12 RB's each week. Why would you want the most underrated defense in fantasy when you can take another crappy back?

LMFAO!!
I'm really thin on a lot of positions lol. I'm pretty top heavy but no depth whatsoever.
QB: Luck, Stafford
RB: Murray, Miller, Hill, Rawls, Connor, Charles, C. West
WR: Nelson, Michael Thomas, Parker, Corey Coleman

I hear ya, but at some point, you need to focus on other positions. How many bench spots do you have? Who's your other defense? Do you have another defense or are you just looking to fill your roster with RB's?

So to clarify, you have no kicker, one defense, 2 quality RB's, 3 decent depth RB's, 2 garbage RB's and you want to drop your defense for another garbage back?

In Yahoo, you can drop a player after he plays as long as he's on your bench. My goal was to see how West and Dion Lewis does tonight and if they shit the bed, I can drop them tomorrow for a kicker and a defense.
We also use FAAB so I can theoretically pick the Giants back up.

You can't pick the Giants back up until after they clear waivers.
i have them in all 3 of my leagues, but admittedly starting steelers against the browns
From a fantasy perspective I don't see it. Their schedule doesn't seem conducive to shutouts or super low scoring games, and I wouldn't be surprised if the longest punt return all season is 11 yards.
