The show just finished it's first season - critical reviews were mixed, but I enjoyed the show, especially the last two episodes.
For those who haven't heard of it, it's about the ramp up of the crack epidemic in the early 80s, and follows three groups of people - a younger guy in the hood who turns to drug dealing as opposed to going the college route, a CIA handler and his Nicaraguan pilot who are part of the Contra scandal, and the niece of a Mexican druglord and her two accomplices as they try to set up a competing cocaine business. At some points, naturally, their paths cross, but for the most part they're independent storylines.
Haven't seen much on the net about it though, wondering if this one doesn't get the ratings it needs for FX to keep it around. I sure hope so though, they've set it up for what should be a very interesting second season.
