with the initial suspension completely. I do not see any evidence, I only see evidence of a coverup such as the only investigator that interviewed the "victim" --Kia Roberts-- saying she recommended no suspension, then being barred from the meeting with the full panel. There are so many questions here. With THAT said, the NFL is a private company, I do NOT believe a the government should be in the business of telling a private company how to run their business. If the NFLPA disagrees, they should make sure a truly independent appeal process is put in place in the next CBA.

He didn't get a fair hearing? 3 freakin days when they normally last less than a day.
What would Ted Wells

say if he investigated the Elliott incident?

IMO he'd say "it's more likely than not, that Elliott was involved in a domestic violence incident with his ex-girlfriend"

Many of the transcripts, etc are online. Just a little reading.

If you have evidence that points to the contrary, I would be more than happy to look over it, and revise my opinion.

I've done some extensive reading and the evidence is certainly questionable about what happened after the draft. I do think the Dallas argument about Kia Roberts is trivial however. She was hired to go conduct the interview portion of the investigation with regards to the victim and certain other relevant parties. She was not the only investigator, and she wasn't supposed to make any kind of "recommendation" on suspension from everything I can see. That may have been her ultimate opinion, but it was never her role to make that.

From what I can tell, the NFL consulted not only the information collected by the investigators but also with those who have experience dealing with victims of domestic abuse. Those opinions matter as much to me, if not more, than the opinion of those conducting the interviews (Kia Roberts).

I find the story outlined by the victim to be very suspect as well in terms of how things went the night of Zeke's birthday. On the other hand, I think most of the rest of her story is consistent with being in an abusive (both physically and emotionally) relationship.

And the police department's decision that no charges should be filed because of lack of evidence was based on what? Did they get their information from the internet as well?

Also, it's hard to call Kia Roberts recommendation trivial, when she was the lead investigator, she was the only one to meet with her. Then not even be allowed in the remainder of the meetings?

The two physicians who were contacted about the photos of the bruises said they "could" be caused by abuse. With one of them, a woman, stating that she felt it was probably abuse. During the appeal she refused to be a part of any more questioning. The first physician said during the appeal it was impossible to determine age of bruises or cause of bruises with those photographs.

UConn4523 : 9/8/2017 8:12 pm : link
The fact that you are coming to such great lengths to defend Elliot is embarassing. Fans don't owe him due process, that's for the courts and the NFL to decide and he NFL decided their was enough to warrant a suspension, a significant one at that which leads me to believe there's evidence of an infraction, or inconsistencies with the stories.

I won't shed a tear for a woman abuser. He was caught on camera groping a woman, he should be suspended for that alone but I'm guessing you just thinks that's dem boys being boys.

Archer : 9/8/2017 8:35 pm : link

If you had read any of the actual transcripts you would have read that contrary to your statement Kia Roberts did not exonerate Elliott
Quite the contrary she was very critical of him
What she said was that the accuser's statements were inconsistent and this had to be taken into consideration when determining whether to punish Elliott
The NFL has enough hard evidence to punish Elliott
Just pulling the women's top down is enough to warrant a punishment
In addition Elliott has a long and checkered history of violence and drug abuse
If Elliottt injured the woman and attacked her over a three day period he should never play in the NFL again
re: I don't know what you want man
nccowboyfan : 9/8/2017 8:39 pm : link
I am not going to great lengths, I am just repeating what has already been put out to the media. As a Giant's fan, I expect you to be critical, I fully understand that. If he did indeed do it, I fully support any suspension. I am just saying as a fan, from the outside looking in (like anyone else here) I have yet to see enough evidence to say "Yep, he did it." And to be fair, you rarely see smoking gun type evidence in these cases, that's why they are fairly hard to charge/prosecute, absent Ray Rice type footage.

If she had of been abused as bad as she claims, for over course of 3-5 days, she wouldn't have been able to do shit. All she had were a few light bruises, that to me, looked about like what you see after a few nights of hard sex, as he stated occurred. She would not have ask her friend to lie, and she would not have planned to blackmail him for money with sex videos. You don't toy and blackmail someone you are supposed to be deathly afraid of.

Half your defense is suspended. Your team is littered with players that have character issues. Jerry knows his team can't go very far without Elliot so of course he bent the rules and did all he could to make sure Zeke could play. Hell I even know Jason Garrett personally, but this is all a crock of shit.

If by half you mean three, then sure. If by littered, you mean two, then of course. By all accounts the remaining portion of the team is of high character.

The ruling admits the arbitrator was not required to allow testimony by Thompson and Goodell in the arbitration hearing. And that such denial is not grounds for a finding of an unfair arbitration process by the judge. But the judge still goes on to say elliot has presented at least a prima fascia case and is entitled to the injunction or stay or whatever it is.

It will be interesting to see if his final judgement after the case is argued stays the same. Judge seemed to place a lot of emphasis on the possibility that one investigator's findings may have been kept secret from the commissioner. Presumably that issue will be addressed as the case is argued.
I wonder if NFL could offer another arbitration hearing that includes the testimony Elliot wants, and implement the same penalty. Might save them some lawyer money but maybe they won't want to set that precedent.

pretty much cut off the leagues authority for ANY player discipline?
It appeared he violated Conduct rules and the evidence examined for weeks. Determination he did violate rules which warrant suspension. He appealed suspension and lost.
Seems to me you can just break rules get caught then run out the legal process with your friendly judge for a TRO that ties up the accusers hands. At this rate his career might be over before any potential punishment may actually occur. You know JJ will take this to the Supreme Court if he has to...to make sure his Boys have a good shot at a a Ring before he croaks. Rules Be Damned!!!!!!!

1. He will try to get it reduced (Suspension upheld)
2. He will file lawsuit unless no suspension (Lawsuit filed)
3. He will seek temporary injunction to play(Got Injunction)

4. He will play and keep playing (Starting Sunday)
5. He will drop lawsuit and serve if ...
a He gets dinged up and would miss the games anyway
b Cowboys are off to a horrible start and tank season
c Cowboys have a great start and have a soft spot in schedule

To summarize: He will serve the suspension when he wants, if he wants, and laugh at his accuser and the NFL.
