10 years ago our favorite football team, the New York Giants started their journey to become eventual Super Bowl champions. We all remember it.

-Eli’s 60 yard pass to Plaxico on the 3rd play of the game for a TD

-Of course, Injured eli’s shoulder, he was going to be out an eternity.

-The hefty lefty era has begun

-The bad defense!

-The season was over.

Just cannot believe its been a solid 10 years. Lost 45-35 to Dallas. But that Super Bowl victory wasn't to bad.

Was the following week against GB where Favre dinked and dunked down the field all day long.

On the bus back to Manhattan, my Dad and I were like..Damn, this D is fucking pathetic.

That same D won us a SB over arguably the best team in NFL history.
I think that the 2011 D played even worse the first 14 games of the

season. It's amazing how good the D was last year but how poorly it played in the second half of that game. I guess the O doing nothing didn't help their cause. But I think in the NFL format and with the current relative parity (outside of New England) it's really just about playing well at the right time.

I remember that well. It really seemed to turn that season around from two early losses to a winning mentality.
In retrospect

That goal line stand against Washington was pretty historic, considering all that followed
I remember how awful

everyone thought they were after those first two losses. Nobody realized that the Cowboys and Packs were really good. Both had been mediocre in '06 but were on their way to 13-3 seasons. In retrospect the losses weren't nearly as bad as they looked at the time.

Yeah, that paranoia (still even after two games) seemed a bit more justifiable more to start freaking out.

I remember the ticket prices for the Packer game week 2 dropped quite low. I remember before I was a BBI member, I woke up that day and went somewhere and ….Eli’s playing vs the Packers. Im just thinking this guy is a warrior!
