Odell was always flying to game.

I wouldn't risk playing him.

I thought they'd make him walk with him bum ankle.

I hope his arms don't get tired.

That would mean that Beckham submits his own injury reports.

If your franchise player had an ankle injury you were concerned with, would you have him traveling with the team for a meaningless preseason game? Wouldn't you have some sort of brace/boot on the ankle? Would you have him return to the sidelines of a preseason game he was injured in?

He's getting as much rest as possible prior to a huge division game. He does not need to practice - he's caught a pass or 2 from Eli before.

The Giants want the press to have this story to keep Dallas guessing.

But my money is on OBJ watching the game from the sidelines, unless he suits up as a decoy for the first quarter.

I've had plenty of high ankle sprains and you can't walk the first few days.

Well, the guy that was on with Francesa and the Twitter doc say it's a high ankle sprain so I'd trust them.

Make them cover him, then throw it at will to Marshall and EE.

Sooner or later he ll have to play at less than 100%

and I would question McAdoo's decision making if OBJ did not get on the plane. The last thing you want to do is help Dallas to prepare.

Reportedly, he was at least Step 7 earlier in the week - seen jogging on the sidelines. Whether he was able to clear the final 3 steps is anyone's guess.

He would have found some lady at the supermarket or on the street, pulled her top off, and then smacked her around a little bit.

Beckham knows how his ankle feels - not the doctors - internet or team, not the coaches, not the fans. I think he would want to go to Dallas regardless of whether he intended to play or not so no surprise there. He knows what's at stake (divisional game, that he could set his recovery back if he does too much, too soon, etc.), he knows what he is capable of and I think he will make the right decision taking the individual game and the big picture of the full season into consideration. I think he will play but if he doesn't, so be it.

I see King starting, with maybe even Engram playing a bit of WR.

Macadoo thought the best way to prepare for Dallas was to have OBJ not practice for three weeks before the game just to play possum. If it were so clear he was playing, he'd have gotten some work in at least once this week. The idea that the possibility of beckham not playing somehow makes dallas' life harder seems far fetched to me. If anything, it's the opposite...i.e., the Giants are pretending he might play when they've already decided he won't. To me, the most likely scenario is exactly what they've said....he's close and they'll test it tomorrow to decide.

you dont know if he practiced today, plus most of the work preparing is more in the film roon rather than on the field

and totally agree he was always playing :-). that this was all soap opera drama to justify his reaction on the day he got injured. couldn't have him come back to practice when he reacted like that :-). we'll win tomorrow, but it'll be ugly and close as always probably :-)
