Aaron Donald's holdout is over. The Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman showed up the team's facility Saturday afternoon after a preseason-long absence. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Donald took and passed his physical, per a source informed. Donald will not play in Sunday's test against the Indianapolis Colts, but has been working out on the east coast and "could be up to speed soon", as Rapoport reported. Coach Sean McVay said Friday that Donald "won't be a part of this [week's] game." Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly. |
Gotcha.
It's not up to us to tell them what they should be happy making. They have every right to want to get top dollar as early as possible. But they don't hold the cards and the rules allow the teams to have most of the leverage.
Does the team have to honor the contract? Oh, no? Then the "I'm old fashioned" rhetoric falls a little flat.
There is a thing called leverage, he doesn't have any.
Just a waste of time for him to holdout.
