errrrrrrrrrrrr............
It's not their first game in LA.
GiantGolfer : 9/10/2017 6:39 pm : link
But who wants to see a game in that old stadium anyway? Crowds will be much better when they move in to the new complex.
It just looks empty

It is a big place...
Hey, at least that is a 100k seat stadium
Giants_West : 9/10/2017 6:39 pm : link
Just wait until the Chargers are posting photos like that in a 30k seat stadium.
When I hear Scott Tolzien is coming to town...

I buy a row of tickets right away.

Just did a quick glance at Pro FB Reference - did the Rams really pull the 2nd most home attendance in 2016?

I thought I was the only Tolzien super fan.
There's not much excitement here for Rams or Chargers football.

The NFL is on a different level than it was when the Rams and Raiders were here before, but USC and UCLA own the town. Even the Raiders are more popular in L.A. than the Rams or Chargers.

But that'll change if they win.

L.A. fans are a bit spoiled, first by the Dodgers' long run of success, then by the Lakers' long run of success. (L.A. has really been a Laker town for a while.) L.A. fans like winners.

Honestly, it's going to take years of success to rebuild the fan base here. If the owners aren't willing to be patient about that, this isn't going to work.

Once again, Stan bring the LULZ! That crowd wouldn't fill the Chargers band box.
Why doesn't the NFL ever learn?
PatersonPlank : 9/11/2017 10:27 am : link
They have moved out of LA about 4 times now because no one goes to the games. Yet now they put two teams. Why do they keep trying?

It's the 2nd largest media market in the country, and the top-ranked ad revenue market; the NFL's broadcast partners have wanted teams in LA for years.
It's a bad team in a shitty stadium.
Section331 : 9/11/2017 11:06 am : link
People wonder why fans don't flock there? Put a decent team in a newer facility, turnout will be fine.
USC is the top draw in town & will
SFGFNCGiantsFan : 9/11/2017 11:15 am : link
continue to be until either the Chargers or Rams become really good.

There were 70,000 empty seats and tickets were going for $6 prior to the game. For the home opener.

The Coliseum is huge - there's always going to be empty seats there. But when you combine that with the fact that there are probably not many original LA Rams fans left in the LA area - that's pretty much what you're going to get.
The game wasn't new exactly close
lawguy9801 : 9/11/2017 11:14 pm : link
Was that pic from the 4th quarter after it was out of hand? Or earlier?
