NFT: Golf Trip in January

HeftyLefty : 9/10/2017 11:10 pm
Looking to take my dad on a golf trip in January. Both very average golfers, will shoot in 90s/low 100s (playing legit).

Would go down Saturday morning and stay through Tuesday afternoon. So i'd guess 1 round sat, 2 sunday, 1 Monday (maybe tennis or something else in addition) and 1 on Tuesday

Suggestions of where to go?

Was thinking maybe Amelia Island, but open to any suggestions.

between xmas and new years... We go down to Myrtle and play for a couple days (Barefoot mostly... where my buddies condo is) then we head down to Kiawah Island and play the ocean course. For $200 at that time of year, you get a night's stay and 18 with a caddy. Unreal deal.

We also played the Heritage Club on Pawley's Island this year, which was awesome. Also Pinehurst has a similar deal to Kiawah... for about $250 you get a night at the Carolina hotel (super nice) and 18 with a caddy. It is an awesome trip every year.

Amelia Island

I have done Amelia Island golf few times during the winter. It can get chilly. Just checked online and says January is low 42 and high 64. You can golf in that. But I remember it a little cooler in January there.

Further south is a safer bet.
