- seems as if there were no serious injuries (knock wood)
- Goodson seems to be the goods - hard hitter, good game calling, always around the ball.
- The loss of Hankins didn't seem as apparent as you might think, DT saw a lot of snaps and he looked pretty good
- Engram and Shephard both looked good when they were delivered the ball in stride
No, because even when the action went away for it he found the ball quickly. Very good instincts from a guy who basically redshirted his first season.
Refs bent us over early on, from that phantom spot for a Dallas first down on the first drive (which impacted field position throughout the first half) down to that bogus PI call. Not that it cost the Giants the game, but c'mon...

yeah that first first down was the killer!
lord...
Only 1 game. Long season. I'm not worried.
O-Line was the weak link obviously. If they can get that together, Giant's isn't in bad shape at all.
Yaah!
Shit man, that's about all I got...

I was pleasantly surprised the refs called Dallas on a couple oline holding penalties. I'm used to seeing them get away with it blatantly almost every down
The Giants pressure declined as the game went down because they wore down. Initially, they were getting to Prescott and forcing shorter throws (you're not going to get pressure when the pass is essentially a two step drop and a quick pass). They picked up holding penalty, should have had several more (watching Lael Collins drag JPP to the ground repeatedly makes you wonder why we're not coaching our guys to hold on every play, not like they can flag 'em every time).
Considering our O had absolutely no TOP, this could have been much worse. They weren't playing keepaway - they were taking shots downfield knowing that our O couldn't do anything even if they quickly turned the ball back over to us.
No OBJ.
A defense that played as well as they could under the circumstances.
The offense will get better.
Don't panic.....yet.
I thought we were befuddled by their no huddle...it seemed to take away some of the unpredictaability of our D, their offense was less confused....
- The Redskins lost at home. Even though I'm not living there to enjoy it anymore, that's still satisfying enough to make up for any early season loss.
- We had one run over 5 yards and one over 10. I think it took till game 11 for that last season.
- We were never in the game; it was a total and absolute shit show and the offense looked as incompetent as its possible to look with actual starting players and the results showed it. Hence, it will be hard not to show improvement from here on out.
IMO the biggest problem is Macadoo, he is so scared to throw the ball down the field, it's the same shit as last year. You can't win in this league with a conservative offense, go out and attack. He is again putting all of his cards in the defense winning us our games. It's sickening.
