Enough opening the season with Dallas

5 out of the last 6 years. 4 of the 5 on the road. 2-3. You'd figure the geniuses at the NFL offices would get creative. But not when the almighty advertising dollar is at stake.
well maybe the giants performance last night

put these advertisers and schedule maker asleep and now will drop that game from now on..
Sick of it too.

Can't we please just get a 1 PM EST home opener? I can't remember even remember our last one. 2010 vs. Panthers perhaps?
If you are a good team,

does it matter who you play in your opener?
I've been wanting them to do away

with opening the season with in-division games for a long time now. They are too important and the lack of practice time and fear of injury during preseason makes week 1 games usually suck. Play non-conference games week 1. They matter least and let's players get into game speed.
I agree

but the bigger issue with the schedule this year is the Giants dont give their fans a sunday home game until October. That's simply a slap in the face to loyal customers.

Anyway, with everyone now convinced Carson Wentz is Canton bound, maybe they'll send the Eagles to Jerry World for next years opener.
I don't mind opening v. Dallas,

but 4 of the past 5 years have been AT Dallas. Conference opponents should alternate every year - home then away, away then home. Don't why they don't do it that way.
You don't know why?

It's because Jerry wants it that way. They just put the man in the hall of fame for all the cash he printed for the league.
Quite frankly,

I think we would have lost last night at METLIFE, as well. I don't think venue made a difference, perhaps offensive chemistry with new players was a factor and yes, if we played Dallas in Dallas a few weeks from now, just maybe we would have shown much better on O. It's hard to say.
Agree

At the end of the game last night, I said to my friend, "well, if nothing else, hopefully this boring game convinced the schedule-makers to put something else next year Sunday Night Week 1."

The NFL schedule-maker appears to be the most boring, uncreative son of a bitch on the planet. I actually wouldn't mind seeing him (whoever he is) get physically harmed at this point. These games Sunday night Week 1 aren't even exciting anymore. It's not only the time slot, but the opponent, as well. Give BOTH teams something new Week 1. It's not that hard.
