I posted this on another thread but didn't know if it would get a response. Wondering if an OLman or coach on BBI can help.
Call me ignorant, but why is 6'2" considered a negative for an interior OLman? You always hear that leverage is key and OLmen have to get low. It's not like he' 5'9". It seems strength and girth is more important (along w technique and attitude) and he has that. Imo his height shouldn't be a factor and maybe even help w leverage.
Can someone enlighten me?
This....was Reese the only one in the country who didn't know our offensive line was a serious issue? I know they don't want to waste a pick on a reach in the early rounds, but even in free agency he made no significant moves. So if there was nobody worth drafting (hey he spent two picks on Bisnowaty, but thats ok cause it was the later rounds and those guys NEVER workout) and no free agent who was going to improve our line, we as fans should just expect to have to wait for a fe years til the good offensive linemen are available. Because we sure as hell are able to 'develop' them, not even the 'good ones'like flowers......ugh.
