But I think I'm done belittling the media when it comes to their opinions on the Giants. I'm not really getting the chance to enjoy the last laugh much these days.
You do need better players than Flowers, Pugh, Richburg, Jerry, and Hart tho. Unfortunately, our brilliant GM doesn't see what the entire football world sees and bet on continuity for the league's worst OL.

Need? No. But hes better than anyone we have and he wanted to play here.
Yeah, because AP looked so great last year on Minnesota Â
You mean the offensive scheme (and play caller) that saw Eli throw for 65 TDs, 8800+ yards and 92+ passer rating in '14 and '15. I hated that scheme, too.

Yup that same one where they were in the bottom of the league in rushing in both those seasons.

That's the scheme overseen by Coughlin. Eli's stats, and the offense as a whole (except for Beckham), have been subpar since McAdoo became HC.

24 ppg in '14, (10th in the league), 26 ppg in '15 (8th in the league) running game or not. Same scheme, same play caller.

Can we stop with this myth that great rbs don't help teams win?? Wtf man, it's bullshit.
The objective should be to have as many great players as possible at every position. You don't need great rbs to win? Then you could say the same about every position other than qb.
Great rbs transform offenses. Look at the Vikings. They have a brand new OL that is raw and challenged and brings with it zero continuity. None. And dalvin cook went bananas tonight.
Rbs do make a difference. How can anyone say otherwise?? Hate this belief. Hate it.
he's just saying it isn't a must have, IMO. I'd love a stud RB but I wouldnt want to invest a high pick in one or a large FA contract.
Yeah. I disagree. The best rbs in the NFL are usually the higher draft picks. You get what you pay for, much like every other position. We signed and drafted fourth or fifth round talents at the position and that's what they look like.
Please don't tell me that a dynamic and/or physical specimen at rb wouldn't help here. It most definitely would.

No one has ever said "Great RB's don't help teams win." The argument is, as great as a RB may be, his success largely depends on the offensive line in front of him.
Personally, I don't even think Tiki Barber would have success behind this OL. Would he be better than Paul Perkins? No doubt. But his ceiling would be extremely capped by the incompetency of this line.

Coughlin was HC
And yes McAdoo was OC and the play caller and it's the same scheme (and play caller) they are still using. So I'm not buying the "shitty offensive scheme" because we've seen this scheme score plenty of points and without much of a running game then either.

No one is telling you that, but you keep saying it.
Miss the Days of BJ and Badshaw physical tough runners with decent wheels who could block and catch .
I still would have took Dion Dawkins in the 2nd and
Donta Foreman i the third but wtf do I know they both may
fail . Its a win now season the needs were obvious yet the
biggest need was not addressed .
I think it's safe to say that we have arguably the worst
O-line in the NFL and our RB stable isn't anything to write home about and I will not complain about the Perkins pick
he is a good back and we got him late .
not enough blocking. Some can create, but there still needs to be somewhere to run. This is where Perkins excelled last year, but he looks hesitant this year. Darkwa is running hard and looks more decisive. Additionally, I would say that Gallman looked decent in pre-season and he too should get some carries as the season progresses. Hopefully, Perkins gets more opportunities to show what he can do first.
In madden.
Randy Moss is really good, but Woodson really ruins it for me
Lmfao...

Not even close to the answer.

The argument is the talent level of the OL is more important than the talent of the Back. And I completely agree with that mindset.

Guess I should have read the post right above mine before saying the same thing.
