She was a tennis pro. I first heard her doing women's college softball (A fun game to watch!) and she was GREAT! Did the Westminster Kennel club show too and was surprisingly good. But one listen to her doing football and it was obvious she shouldn't be. Just no understanding of or feel for the game. Sad.
that for me makes it sound a bit like background noise. I'm finding myself having to really key in and listen to her intently in order to pick up everything that she is saying. Almost sounds like she's in another room from the microphone. I'm not picking on her, and I hope this works out for her, but I'm having a tough time adjusting to this, as it is not a natural listen, IMO. Maybe they can enhance her sound in production going forward.

Women announcing football games. I just don't like it. Can't stand it, even on college games. It's sexist? Or no more arbitrary than not liking a particular announcer because he/she completely shits the bed when calling plays or the guy is an idiot or boring or at odds with the analyst?
I mainly don’t care. She seems like a very nice woman. Her voice was really weird for me and a bit annoying. I could line you all up easily with 20 women I know personally whose voice is completely awful and makes her voice sound like Frank Sinatra’s.
We’ve been looking at and listening to women in sports games for years, it’s not that big of a deal. However, on the other hand, what is annoying is when they have to post about it on Facebook or do tons articles as if it is really some monumental moment in time because someone with a vagina called a football game. If gender or whatever doesn’t matter, why make a big stink about it? (but only in a positive light) Eh whatever.

I remember when Gumbel was doing play by play and can't count how many times a running back ran for a good chunk of yardage, well past the first down marker and Bryant would say "and he appears to have a enough for a first down". It would be like 3rd and 2, and the running back runs for eight yards. Bryant would be like "and it appears he has enough for the first down". Absolutely brutal.
