Hey y'all. I'm feeling it too, but hope springs eternal....or at least until we hit
0-6 (not saying we will)!!
Anyway, I was thinking about other offensive strategies the Giants might employ to help take some heat off the o-line and keep defenses on their heels, especially while OBJ is healing up.
-I saw a few teams on Sunday employ no-huddle early in games. Why shouldn't we do that? Gas defenses, give them less time to adjust. We still do OK when we can get into a groove with the no huddle (wait, were we in no huddle when Eli threw that pick? I can't remember). Give our o-line a little advantage, maybe.
-If OBJ can't go, why not line up three TE sets *sometimes*? Ellison, EE, and Lacosse/Adams, keep Shepherd and Marshall in. Those three TE can make plays in a number of ways, and three of them doesn't necessarily broadcast what the play will be.
Anyway, sorry if these are obvious or stupid questions. I agree that our offensive playcalling seemed pretty vanilla the other night, but we have guys who can make plays; maybe it's just how they're being used that's the problem? Thanks!
