Jack Del Rio has been singing Marshall Newhouse's praise

I was listening to the NFL station on Sirius/XM radio yesterday and they were talking about the Raiders possibly having the best OL in football. They then had Jack Del Rio come on and he went out of his way to say how much Newhouse has impressed them and solidified himself as their starting right tackle.

Upon hearing this, I went back and watched the film of the Titans-Raiders game and Newhouse did in fact look very good. He was moving people around in the run game, anchoring himself well in pass protection, showing good footwork and excellent hand placement.

Now with that said, I KNOW Newhouse is not very good but it just goes to show you how bad any lineman looks under McAdoo. He runs a broken system and he/his staff simply are behind the curve when it comes to coaching up offensive linemen.

Of course, it's easy to hide Newhouse when the other 4 starters are Pro Bowl caliber guys but the terrifying/sickening part is, as bad as Newhouse was with the Giants, he was light years better than his inferior backup, Bobby Hart. The Giants made the decision, and the right one, to move on from Newhouse yet they replaced him with Hart who couldn't even compete w Newhouse for the RT job last year. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

In short, the Giants are flawwed from BOTH a personnel and coaching standpoint when it comes to the OL. Scary stuff.
