guided by critics' opinions, but Rex Reed is a very respected and established reviewer. Doesn't make him right, but I doubt he simply has an axe to grind with Aronofsky.
give it a good score on rotten tomatoes, but the general public doesn't I stay away. This sounds like movies like Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity that the critics liked, but I should have asked for my money and that hour and a half back.

Is Jennifer Lawrence allowed to ever get a bad review? Or as we, as a society, constantly giving her overrated ass praises. Much like of Carson Wentz, I just don't ...see it.

What did Uncle Clint think? Maybe take him to Buckle's (which only exists in Amarillo, where you're likely from) and then relax to watch Wolf of Wall Street (2013)?
I see "It" last night and didn't think it was either scary or particularly good. I saw a lot of hype about it at its opening but not sure I get why. Maybe it's just me.
I hate the way he holds the bar in his hands. He cheats on his wife. Sitting there waiting for the big BBQ surrounded by family that bring sin hoards of money, so he don’t have to hold down a 9 to 5er. You would understand if you new him. Northern NJ guy who talks with a NY accent.
Also, by the way, walked out of It...dont bother. It was very boring.
a sound engineer for many of Aronofsky's movies (Requiem for a Dream, etc.) I was hoping he'd be working on this one, but he isn't. I love DA's work, but it's an acquired taste and definitely not for all.
RE: Enough of the Uncle Clint stuff, that won't get Â

Good thing you're still in the Amarillo area so you don't have to see him too often, crazyeddie.

You sure he doesn't?
"From the idiotic drug-addict hokum Requiem for a Dream to the overrated, overwrought and over-hyped Black Swan, which I called 'a lavishly staged Repulsion in toe shoes,' the films of wack job Darren Aronofsky have shown a dark passion for exploring twisted souls in torment. But nothing he’s done before to poison the ozone layer prepared me for mother!, an exercise in torture and hysteria so over the top that I didn’t know whether to scream or laugh out loud."
he's a terrible actor. My comment was more towards Jennifer Lawrence usually being held in high regard when I haven't liked a performance of hers since Winters Bone.
For over 20 years. Love the movies obviously. Mother is the WORST MOVIE EVER. It is very disturbing and makes no sense. This cast must have been on drugs to take their roles.

lol - there you have it. Think I'll skip this one.

not hard to understand, given the decline of Hollywood. They are selling out to the Chinese.
but if you were able to catch the whole "God, Mother Nature, humans" allegory then you can at least understand the premise. It did catch me off guard at first as based off the trailers I thought I was going to see a psychological thriller...boy was I wrong.
and the Wrestler was very good. Noah was weird but a cool attempt at telling a story everyone knows in a completely unique way. The Fountain was good too though it's been a while since I've seen it. I remember liking Pi too but that must have been 17 or 18 years ago when I saw it so I barely remember it.
He's a polarizing director, but guys like him are good for hollywoood.
I saw Passengers a few weeks ago. I thought it stunk but worst movie ever made it wasn't.

But he's been paid to act in many mainstream films.
What's your definition of 'actor'?
No questions asked about this guy anymore

hell the bad reviews arent bashing it enough. its so dumb.
I worked 20+ years a go at Blockbuster Video and am most probably in the 99th percentile for viewed movie content.
Former film student major as well.
He has generated a collection of some of the worst movies I've ever seen.
Noah - one of the worst.
He must be someones nephew or son to maintain his current status and relevance.
He's a polarizing director, but guys like him are good for hollywoood.
