NFT: RIP Bobby "the Brain" Heenan

Bobby Humphrey's Earpad : 9/17/2017 7:11 pm
Per Meltzer.

Simply the best. The Heenan Family, The 1992 rumble. The one-liners. Prime Time Wrestling.

Heenan and Monsoon are back at the table commentating inside the pearly gates.

He was NOT in good shape at all. Friend and I were just chatting about him last weekend. Rip.

As a kid

Outside of guys like Hulk, Macho Man Savage and Andre the Giant, I feel like Heenan is the most well known wrestling personality in America
Sorry to hear it

I don't usually get too broken up when a celebrity passes....
Britt in VA : 9/17/2017 8:51 pm : link
but this one has me really, really sad.

I watched a shoot interview of Bobby's once, just him in a hotel room talking about his career, telling funny road stories, etc... I could listen to him talk all day. What a funny, and great, storyteller he was.

Bobby The Brain Heenan has left the building.

He made the world a better place for us humanoids.
Brain: "Do you know how the Undertaker got that urn?"
BlackLight : 9/17/2017 9:37 pm : link
Monsoon: "No, and I'm afraid to ask..."

Brain: "The old-fashioned way, he URNED it!"

(Reba McEntire has just finished singing the National Anthem at Wrestlemania)

Brain: "Boy, can Tito's sister belt one out!"

He would just rip him to shreds.

He called his flying forearm finisher the "flying jalapeno".

I know everyone loves the golden era (late 80s, 90s) during his heyday but the thing I will miss the most are those warm summer nights in the late 90s listening to him and Tony Schiavone (I think those two had a conflict though), Mike Tenay call WCW Nitro during the Monday Night War era. I liked JR and King but the WCW team was way calmer, lol.

Either way, still sad to see him go.
