NFC Least?

I Love Clams Casino : 9/18/2017 9:30 am
Wow....those AFC West teams looked good.

Philly was crashing through that o-line of KC, and I thought it looked just like a Giants Philly game. I thought there was no way for KC to pull it out, but KC had some great play calls....That Hunt guy just refuses to go down. I am actually stunned that KC pulled it out, and I think the Giants could use it as a blueprint....great ending too.

The Broncos just dismantled the Cowboys. What a demoralizing loss for Dallas. 2 great games. Made me wonder though, just how good, or bad......is the NFC East?
The AFC West is loaded

right now. The Raiders, the Chiefs and the Broncos all 2-0. The Chiefs have beaten the defending Super Bowl Champs and a tough Eagles team to start the season. They could be on a run here...
The NFC East seems very pedestrian right now

The most complete team - based on a very limited sample size - seems to be the Eagles. Hopefully that picture will change a little tonight if the Giants can show last week was as anomaly as opposed to a season preview. Dallas was completely outclassed yesterday in Denver. The Redskins are still just the Redskins that seem to always be on course to 7-9 or 8-8.

The thing that is clear is that the AFC West is really strong. Denver and KC both seem to have everything firing on all cylinders to start the season.
Fair question

The Cowboys have an O but not much D. The Giants have the opposite. The Eagles have both but neither as good as the best of the previous two. The Skins are the same but a bit worse than the Eagles. It's not as good a division as the AFC west but it's certainly not as bad as some others.

You could say the same about the entire NFC. Atlanta is only team that's been stellar. Them and the anemic offense Carolina Panthers are only other undefeated team after ONLY 2 weeks. If you want parity, you got it!

+1
If anything the NFC West is in even worse shape. SF is dreadful and yet Seattle, who's OL may be worse than ours barely eked out a win over them at home. Arizona has been terrible, and the Rams are the Rams. 9-7 may win that division.
I'm not making

judgements about the teams in the NFC East at this stage.

I think as the season goes along, things will be more in focus.

What is clear is that a lot of the big name teams have problems.

Atlanta just lost Beasley for an extended period, and that team still seems like it is in the best shape right now in the NFC.

But the Seahawks have maybe the worst OL in football, but with the Packers not playing with their top 2 OT's last night, it was U-G-L-Y, it had no alibi. And now to lose Jordy possibly, Mike Daniels, and Cobb getting dinged (Cobb will probably be alright), they are in a bad situation.

Dallas just ran into a buzzsaw last night. Denver at home can and has done that to anybody, including Tom Brady. I'm not selling the Cowboys yet. I had questions about their defense but Marinelli is making chicken salad out of it. They aren't going to be confused with the '85 Bears, but they are much better than the disaster I thought they might be.

The Eagles went toe to toe on the road with the Chiefs and it took a late rally for the Chiefs to win that game. They were tied 13-13 in the 4th quarter with 6 minutes and change to go until Kelce put them up and Kareem Hunt slammed the door just before the 2 minute warning. It's not easy to win in Arrowhead and that Eagles team shouldn't be taken lightly for losing a competitive game against the Chiefs on the road.

The Bucs defense really played well against the Bears, but there are questions about that offense, including Jameis' decision making. I think the Bucs can push for that division, more likely they are a wild card team this year, and there's nothing I've seen so far to suggest that Atlanta isn't the strong favorite in the South.

The Vikings without Bradford were not pretty, but given the Packers' huge problems, the Vikings can overtake them for the division. Especially if the OL continues to play that badly and they are without Jordy for a significant amount of time.
