Some of it is yankee/redsox crossover, some of it is exposure to the fan base.
I was always indifferent to the patriots until I lived in boston and dealt with the fan base. Completely insufferable, and this was nine years ago.
Yeah we own them, but their fans are the worst.

Is that why you hopped on their pathetic bandwagon? They were popular? Congratulations on not having the balls to pick an "unpopular" team. Dallas is at the top of the list of hated because of their fanbase.make no mistake about it. The most annoying and least knowledgeable fanbase in all of sports. And they never shut up. Nobody on the planet has an ounce of respect for any Cowboys fan outside of Texas. Not because you can't root for a team outside of your own state. You absolutely can and many people do. It's the REASONS that people choose the Cowboys as their supposed favorite team. And NY/NJ Dallas fans are the absolute worst. You just want to throat punch every single one of the clueless nitwits.

They are not "America's Team". That is a marketing myth. It makes it easy to see who falls for marketing hype and who doesn't.
America doesn't have a "team", and if you argue otherwise, you're one of those who fell for some stupid marketing hype. I guess you can pat yourself on the back for that.

No one really cares. I'm a Yankees fan and the last thing I pride myself on with them is their immense popularity. If anything it's kind of annoying to me. What I love about the Yankees is their tradition and image. They aren't perfect but they just conduct themselves in a manner that other teams should strive for. Same with the Giants.
Dallas is a fucking toilet.
