But the biggest blow was when Eli gave the ball right back to Detroit following the strip sack. That was a chance to get the crowd into it and have all the momentum if they could have drove for a score there.
And his "drop" in the end zone was not good either. And while you're at it Engram's grabbing himself was a game changer too - But Marshall looks disinterested, and there is no excuse for that.
But we would have found another way to lose because as another poster said "losers lose" and right now we are losers until we figure out how to be winners.

This was killer too.
I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be longing for
2016 Victor Cruz. But Marshall is a bum, does nothing all day, gets a chance to do something and drops the ball. At least Engram was hit and is a rookie (although drops are inexcusable for anyone). I'm already over BM.
they were getting held left and right and had just started to lose contain on Stafford. They get the ball back, get off the field.... and Eli gives it right back to them.
By virtue of timing, though - the Marshall drop was every bit as bad. STs kicked in their share to make it even worse on the ensuing PR.

Great defensive play was huge too
Yep I though that was the turning point of the game. We had just made our first big defensive play of the year, The offense was coming off its first good drive we're set up at midfield and Eli had an easy pitch and catch there to Engram for 8 yds. He throws it way behind him and poof they're set up on the 25 and it was all down hill after that.
come on. This team was not going to beat anybody tonight. And it's not like he was scoring a TD on that play. We'd have given up a strip-sack or had a holding penalty to kill that drive.
he short arms that pass in the end zone without going to the highest point for the catch? Cheeses, that showed piss poor effort all around. Thought the guy was going to contribute, so far he looks disinterested and sucks!
All those short passes on 3/4 down is comical. We stink. Please go 0-16 and draft an OL guy with your 1,2, and 3 Rd picks.

Yea I wondered why a 6'5" WR would let the ball come to him. Should have high pointed that ball.
Yep. That's how I saw it too.
It was one game. And he is a professional WR. No excuses. Catch the ball.
Early returns disappointing to say the least.
