Waste of a top 5 defense

that the starters should have been playing way more than they did in preseason. This team looks totally inept.......like training camp just opened. They were in no way, shape, or form, ready to begin the season.

I was once told that there are two teams in the NFL: the ones who constantly improve their personnel and continue to get better and the ones who don't. Jerry Reese did a phenomenal job convincing us that hard work in the offseason would result in clear, observable improvement in our seemingly total bust of both our tackles so we stood pat with our clearly awful OL. No one, and I mean no one should have fallen for that flaming pile of shit, but we did. Now we get to sit on our couches and watch that shit stink up the field every Sunday. Flowers, Hart, Jerry, and Jones wouldn't start on 31 of the 32 teams in this league. #Top12pick in May 2018.

Agree.. That's what hurts..

but the defense seems to be going downhill with the offense, instead of vice versa, pulling the offense up through stiff competition everyday in practice.

I think that's just a function of being totally gassed by halftime because our offense runs the 3 and out like its worth points. I do think there is something to be said about all the preseason hype and how bad we've looked these first two games. It must weigh heavy on the D knowing they are doing everything they can aside from scoring points.
